Hi. I'm currently using the newest version of Kontakt 64bit 5.4.3 on a Win8 64bit system. I've read through the brunt of topics concerning legitimate vs cracked versions, library issues and how to fix with .nicnt and snpid numbers, and have zero problems adding the libraries. My problem is a common one in which certain libraries once loaded, which are not requested to register in Native Instruments Service Center, do not load back up upon reopening Kontakt.

I think the problem is if no .xml file is created in the Service Center Folder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center) after loading a specific library, then that library will not show up on your next boot of Kontakt.

It seems a fix was to change the "sc3.tmp" temp file created on your desktop after adding a new library to Kontakt to the corresponding library name and an .xml extension. Then you cut and paste this file into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center and the libraries would continue to show up no problems.

I'm not sure if it's because I have the newest version of Kontakt, but that sc3.tmp file never shows up on my desktop. I have hidden files/folders shown and enabled, but it doesn't pop up. I've also tried tweaking the snpid #s, creating my own .xml file matching it with the library .nicnt values and adding registry entries. None of it has worked for me.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or knew of a way to get the .xml file to properly register in the Service Center Folder so I don't have to re-add those libraries every time I open Kontakt. Or is there another way to keep the libraries showing up which I've just completely missed in my searching?

I should have prefaced by saying I've already read all the similar topics on this issue. I've spent the last 3 days pouring countless hours into this forum and lots of googling with no luck.

The libraries I am able to load into Kontakt with no issues. I've created proper .nicnt files with unique snpid alpha-numeric combinations for each library or groups of libraries I want added into Kontakt. After loading a library it seems the normal thing is for an .xml file to load into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center, however, the .xml files are never created for a large majority of the libraries I try to add.

I've also tried removing specific registry library keys/folders from current_user\software\native instruments and local_machine\software\native instruments and reloading the library with no luck.

I was wondering if any users of the new Kontakt, v5.4.3, were experiencing similar issues or if there were those who could provide some specific detail on what I can enter into the registry in order to help Kontakt remember my libraries? Or is there a way to create a proper .xml file that I can just paste into the Service Center folder and somehow it'll sync up with the registry (have tried doing this with no luck)? Or am I able to alter the ProductHints.xml file in the Service Center folder to help with my issue?

    I'm using win8 64bit with Kontakt 5.4.3 64bit.

I'm using Kontakt a lot, 5.4.3 but on W7 and I have no issues. Only issue I have with old EWQL Orchestral platinum library, but I found workaround.
Also, problem with missing library after add can be fixed by installing latest GuitarRig, works for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, but uninstalling and reinstalling the new GuitarRig5Pro did not fix my issue. I also tried a full uninstall and reinstall of Kontakt 5, making sure to delete all the files and registry keys outlined by introninja's post here: active members thread: uninstall kontakt. Something interesting is that after a fresh install of Kontakt, all my databases needed to be rebuilt, but my previous libraries (ones already confirmed working which did not need reloading each instance of Kontakt before my reinstall) were still in the library pane -- not sure if this means I missed something when deleting data during the uninstall. The fresh install did not resolve my issue either.

I can load libraries fine and can start mapping folders to the quick navigation, but it's really damn annoying every time I open an Ableton project and get an error about not being able find/load the library or the library not being installed for Kontakt 5. It adds the extra steps of re-opening Kontakt on each track, re-adding individual libraries to each Kontakt, then loading the patches of the libraries I was working with for each separate instance of Kontakt... and if Ableton crashes or I forget to save the most recent patch of every Kontakt track then I lose the data completely. So it's workable, but trying to save myself some headache.

I guess another option could be creating a Master Library Group which loads all my non-reloading Libraries as one Library so each time I open Kontakt I'll only need to 'Add Library' once. But then it won't be as nicely organized and will get harder to manage as my collection grows.

Anyway, still hopeful someone will be able to help or offer a better suggestion before I have to resort to these options.

I have been searching everywhere but no luck. All this time i am creating an xml manually for each lib.
    Total nightmare

I have the the last 2 K5 Libs on a Mac. I think the issue is a wonky Service Center, but renaming .xml and placing in the Service Center folder fixes each one at a time.

This is my first time posting - I was hoping to have something useful to contribute first, but hopefully that will happen in the near future.

Introninja, you seem like the only person who can help me. I've been reading through all of your posts, though, and I still can't get 5 legit recently purchased libs to stop disappearing in a legit Kontakt 5 installed after wiping a cracked version from the same machine.

I've dug through the user and system libraries and found some "hiding" references to library developers, but even deleting those and everything else in the folders from your previous removal of Kontakt article I can't get rid of the problem. I'm in Yosemite so I've also done the restarts etc.

The last thing I can think of is editing the "ProductHints.xml" because Kontakt is remembering previously registered libraries and this is the only trace I can find of a log. Can I edit that file and not screw up my installation? Is this info logged anywhere else?

I'm grateful for all you've already taught me about Kontakt, and I'd be even more grateful if you can help me out with this problem:)

    Thanks either way -
