After a few years spent learning Logic Pro, recording and mixing techniques, etc., I made this to see if I could take a song through the "whole process" by myself ... well, except for the writing of course. So for better or worse all playing, singing, recording, mixing, "mastering", yada, yada, is me.

I released it on Bowie's birthday last year as a little tribute to the man and his music, as both have inspired me greatly. The video I made with the help of some generous friends on a very cold January evening.

Nice job, the higher vocal's were better than the lower stuff for sure.

Noooo . . . I had actually been hoping to cast a Asian trans dude or gal, but time did not permit. The video was planned, cast, shot and edited in less than a week.

That's very interesting to hear as I felt far more comfortable doing the low stuff than I did the higher stuff. I've never sung before, and probably won't again, but it was a great exercise in humility. I've taken vocalists for granted until now - just thought they were a bunch of poncy nitwits making a big deal out of something nearly anyone can do! Ha! How wrong I was.

Indeed. One of the original greats who wrote his own rules. I doubt we'll soon see his likes again.
