Here's my composition
It's called Cochamama.....like the inti goddess of oceans, mother of Viracocha.
This is a very personnal track, for that reason the artist name will be Martel.

Nice! I like the pitch movements you have used to make give it that vintage movement. Nice used of cinematic drums too. I like the percussive elements and their switch ups too.

not bad at all, it's a really nice ambient track with a tape pitch effect. Very good vintage style that would definately be an interesting addition to the album...

The last part that fades out after 7:10 needs to be fixed, however. The track ends with a noise that takes too long to end and just holds off. It would be much better if you fade that out and end it much earlier or along with the chords so it has a better timing in the end.

If you fix that part and do a repost, I can definately include it in the completed tracks list on the first page and your track will go on the album

 

If i look at the the 2 track that are included already i'd say thanks but no thanks, I thought there was quality control .

@mag666 This is a very nice track! would love to hear more about the live performance. Specifice, what type of hardware was used, software, setup, plugins used. beautiful peaceful flowing melody, Zen like! Very relaxing. Could definitely use this for meditation. Do you have other work?

I'm building a documentary and will actualy use it for a part shot in the north of Peru.

Hope you guys have a good Mastering engineer that know how to edit a 10 sec reel noise at thebegining and the end of a track....even tho Synth think its dumb :P

 

I only said this because you didnt give any justification or constructive critisism towards the tracks. Its just a pointless statement with nothing to back it up. I dont really see how you can discredit "noise" in ambience, or even why synths would have to be used. I just dislike the narrowmindedness of your thought, i find that with most ambient music, nearly any type of swelling evolution fits in the genre, whether it be noise, chords in a synth, a granulized sample. Somehow your track fits the description of ambient and ours in under the description of noise. Im just wondering how you can distinctively say you dechiper both or discredit one or the other. Suggesting theres no quality control in this project is also rather spiteful to say as well. Its a non-funded forum project lol, you expecting something out of this world? Instead of throwing dirt, give a constructive opinion. We are doing the best with what resources we have available through peoples free time.

 

Both of your tracks @synth and @martel80 appeal to me, and Ambient/Drone in my mind can be both. Noise and not. Drone and not. it is the mood of the music, if it is noise and it can fall into the background and become a part of your surrounding environment, it has become ambiance. I have listened to and like all different kinds of Ambient and Drone music, From Dark to light and everything in between. It may seem like a narrowly defined genre but is in fact quite wide in how it can be interpreted.

 

unfortunately too close for me, maybe next time.

just a hint: please give ppl about 3 months for producing a complete new track, which is finalized and ready to release. There may be ppl who have nuff time for that, I don't have that
I'd never hand out any track which doesn't fulfil my own demands so... more time needed.

 

I like that actually, it kind of quietly oscillates off into silence.
