So far we're not too bad at the first, if you consider we're getting better all the time at the expense of everything else on the planet. However, we seem to be hopeless at the second. We're greedy, imperialistic, and parasitic; in short, the worst kind. We still haven't learned, much less accepted that we are just one more living thing, no better, worse, or valuable in the eyes of the Universe than any other living thing on this planet or anywhere else. Our reasoning power and imaginations have given us the chance to be harmonious and useful to our Universe, instead we've allowed them to drive us insane. We've long ago gone past the point of no return, where we had any chance of living in harmony with other life forms, or for that matter, anything in the universal environment.
A few years ago, I got drunk with a very influencial, but private environmentalist, who told me he knew of environmental/biological researchers working very hard to develop a sterilization virus for the human race. It would potentially render every human in or out of the womb incapable of reproducing; and there would be no chance to develop a vacine that would effectively stop or reverse the effect. We would all have the opportunity to live out our lives, and then we would simply cease to exist as a species. This “story” could be, and probably is, complete bullshit. However, I’m not a religious person, but I pray every day to whatever forces may or may not exist that this virus comes quickly. Until then, I'll just enjoy making music for music's sake.

Nope. I don't post to that site. There are way too many corporate/industry relating, anal retentives on that site. I'd be banned before I could put down two words! However, I do access that site for music tips from time to time. It is an excellent site for that. And yes, I did happen to find the link on KVR. The original poster is very brave (or very stupid) to post that there. Hee, hee. I'd be supprised/delighted if they didn't try to ban him/her, or ram the corporate/industry philosophical cattle prod up his/her ass. Yeah, KVR, my secret buddies....right!
