For my birthday, my lovely wife has signed me up (and paid) for a week long recording retreat at a secluded mountain resort. Workshops, colabs and critiquing with one on one mentor sessions along with DIY hardware instruction. On top of that, there is a golf course on the premises!

Thanks....it's only up the coast from you in by-god West Virginia. Come join me...mixing and mastering "real" music! Everything is included for 6 days..food, room etc. for less than $1500.

I would buy SPL Vitalizer, Transient Designer, and Dynamaxx for that money, and still have enough left for a truckload of pot. :P

However, this does sound like a really good arrangement and it is not that expensive. Hopefully you'll learn something aside from how to play golf! Have fun!
