eMotion LV1 is a revolutionary digital mixing console for front-of-house, monitor and broadcast engineers. Based on Waves SoundGrid technology, this software mixer delivers the superior sound quality for which Waves is renowned, as well as the quick and convenient workflow needed in demanding live environments.

eMotion LV1 gives you unprecedented control over every aspect of your live sound. Each of the mixer’s channels has its own plugin rack capable of running up to eight Waves and third-party plugins. This means you can mix live with hundreds of your favorite plugins—all running inside the mixer itself. All plugin presets and chains saved in eMotion LV1 can be shared with the Waves MultiRack and StudioRack plugin hosts, enabling you to move seamlessly between live and studio environments.

LV1 Channel Strip – Waves eMo Plugins

The mixer’s channel strip—its standard EQ, filters and dynamics processing—is provided by Waves eMo plugins: eMo D5 Dynamics, eMo F2 Filter and eMo Q4 Equalizer. All three are designed for maximum clarity and efficiency in a live environment. All three are included with the eMotion LV1 mixer.

    Intuitive Workflow, Diverse Control

You can control eMotion LV1 using industry-standard hardware controllers, multi-touch screens and diverse portable devices, ranging from four touchscreens to a single laptop or tablet. No matter which device you are using, eMotion LV1 has the same intuitive workflow, with a user interface built for flexibility and speed.

    Total Portability

eMotion LV1 uses the SoundGrid infrastructure for audio networking. It can be configured as a portable or stationary setup, and can connect to any SoundGrid-compatible I/O or server. This means you can easily carry your mixer with you and run it anytime, anywhere—at home, in your hotel room, on the tour bus, or at the live venue. This way you can have all the time you need to work on your sessions, whether offline or with full-on audio, and make sure you are 100% ready for your show.

    Who knows...

But the "emotion lv1" was the pineacle of all. "Let's bundle a touchscreen monitor and a Soundgrid license together and call it a new product" lol.

trust me the average waves guy, will buy it. i guess waves is just out of ideas, i find their last products not innovative at all, but maybe i am just not the average waves guy?

well the future of plugin/product design is to find a way to combine something with hardware or just limit it with expansions like refx did it. its a great concept to earn money over a long time and have a constant dollar running in. NI machine isnt nothing different, but its more open i think.

I have been bugging waves for years with phone calls and by email I've been asking them to make a local aligning plugin like vocalign or voice pro that was a more reasonable price their answer was they were going to leave that to them the people that make Re voice pro and vocalign I wonder if they are connected to that company somehow and don't want to step on their toes by making a vocal aligning plugin now that they got that crappy ass waves central they are probably go to make a vocal aligning plugin they are probably going to be coming out with tons of stuff knowing that anything that they come out with now will not be cracked

This may not suit your needs, however there are many live sound techs who would love to use this. keyword Live Sound

Until now, waves plugins were only used on high end hardware consoles or with a sound grid add-on. Now, you no longer need the hardware console at all! This is a game changer!

With a laptop and few rack mounted hardware items a band could rehearse and refine their mix at home, with the same setup that they use on tour. Bonus no hardware audio console needed.
Mid level bands and sound companies can now have high end audio for everyone's enjoyment.

This opens a profitable new market for Waves.

if this is true i think it is a good thing, but they said, the processing isn't done on the same machine running the waves mixer, i think it is just some kind of controller based on hardware...

but i like the idea of having a daw dedicated for mixing... would love to try...

    and only twelve hundred dollars...

Maybe its just me but.. the latency seems really annoying and slow on touch screen sliders and knobs etc and hard to blv it could ever be as precise as a mouse.

Or you can just save up money, buy Vocalign and get happy at last! "Bugging for years" instead of "saving up money for years"... that doesn't sounds resonable at all. You could've get what you want a long time ago if you would've saved some $.

    :rofl:That got me!

I noticed that as well in the promo video, they don't seem smooth at all.
