So what do I do with my iLOK2 now?

    I bought some waves mastering/tape stuff and some slate mastering/tape stuff but its all "dongle free" now. I guess I'll just add it to the dust collecting collection in the equipment stasis pod aka The back closet.

    Well, just be grateful that you are not tied to it anymore while you can still use your plugins. It's a win win. I don't mind having paid for all the plugins I bought. They are well worth their price, that's the whole point of buying them in the first place. Every time a cracked version appears I'm just happy I don't need to rely on the dongles especially on my mobile setup. I don't regret one second having bought them, I'm just thankful for all the advantages I get.

    Well, I`d say that it makes no difference... You wanted those plugins, and now You have it.
    iLok or no iLok, why should You care ?

    You still have the developers support for the ones You paid for.
    (and maybe they will replace it with the new uncracked one... at least, they should IMO ?!? )

    There's a bunch of plugins that still need this piece of crap. If you don't need anything else, well, keychain is the way to go. :wink:

    ALso, iLok or not, there are many developers that are worth supporting!

    I was thinking as a Christmas tree ornament.
    I can still use it to demo the new stuff as well. Plus I am not done buying plugs, well supporting the devs that deserve it anyways

    Put in safe place. Maybe something new you will want to buy. Make sure equipment stasis pod aka The back closet does not have speakers with big magnets.

    thats sweet mate!!.. keep in case you want plugs from a company that still uses the dungle (type-o intended:D)

    Does anyone know what other iLok companies use dongle-less now?

    Save it and show your grandkids in the future, and tell them that this was a way to legally open and use software. Then you can all laugh hysterically at the joke.
    Then finish the joke by showing them your old mouse (or laptop mouse pad) and tell them that you used one hand to maneuver it on a table in order to get an arrow on the computer screen, with which you could click or double-click on things.
