Does anyone of you know a way to make the scratch-like effect in this video?

If you know a way to do it with Ableton or maybe Kontakt, that'd be awesome!

Gross beat and effectrix are a couple of plugs that can do this

saw the vid. you can manipulate grains and pitch. slow down a piece of audio, reverse it, automate the pitch up and down, copy and paste it directly after (or to fit your groove) reverse it back (like scratching a real record player). hes in LP9 (i think). using the slow down speed up fades. the vid is edited cant tell if he tremelo'd the pitch or not, but thats pretty much it.

hes emulating a record player just think about what that device does when a dj scratches it.

Can't watch the video but from the comments I'm guessing it's a producer emulating a DJ

For Ableton - load a sample in Sampler, set the pitch bend range to ridiculous, then tap the sample as needed, play with the pitch wheel. Later on you can automate sample start position. I might even have another sampler going, or load two in a drum rack and on the second on I'd have the sample playing in reverse to emulate the sort of back and forth motion.

    1) Number one thing to learn: How to post links and/or embed links on forums.

    2) He uses pitch envelope (up, down and updown) on a vocal sample in a sampler.
Most DAWs have pitch envelopes (on audio on the timeline) aswell, AFAIK.

He's using the fade pitch in logic. Doesn't sound like much scratching to me though, like a bad dj maybe.
