So we just got the full U-he package again,
however full access in Program Files is restricted.
A nasty error pops on screen, saying permission issue.

    How to fix?
    Easy.

    Go to Program Files (x86)
Find u-he, right click --> Properties
Go to Security Tab, click Edit
Select Users and checkbox "Full Control"
Click OK, then OK again and you're done.

Windows 7 users have no permission problems, just to clarify.
    Windows 8 and up do.
    Enjoy!

Or maybe do the same over the U-HE folder for all of them at once

or Run your DAW as Administrator and init the plug-ins to access/change the accessfiles on your systemdrive.
This method prevents any background programs or check-ups to access the files when you're not running them.
    Best Regards.

Yes, good idea, will save time. Edited first post.

No, this will work to create initial files, but other errors will appear next time if you don't run as admin. Tried.

He thinks that it's safe to use other method.
Run DAW as admin and u-he plugins then can write info to their data folders. Don't run DAW as admin when you not use them - they can't write anything.

However, plugins will not auto-write anything unless executed. Also this time the release is proper, so no need to worry. It will not go to demo mode.

Since 8 they introduced limited access to Program Files.

That's what I just said about you, and that's the reason you have no permission problems. LOL

Or you simply can install diva.data to the Documents folder (as original installer does).

You can move the data folder, but you need to recreate the right shortcut and place it next to VST's dll.
This is the explanation in official site, but it's longer to do.
