Maybe but it's also three times bigger than NI's library.

I don't say "it's bad lib". I say "it's good, but OT better".

I was very disappointed that the "auto divisi" thing doesn't work with the full ensemble.

Otherwise I must say I was pretty impressed with it, especially the sordinos, not a lot of libraries offer those.

Also make sure you turn down that default reverb, the default settings have wayyy too much of it :)

Probably it is an impossible task to achieve such a thing even if you're a magician in KSP. How do you decide which notes go to the violins and which ones go the violas in the register where they overlap?
I do agree the library is fine and nice sounding. IMHO it is far more musical than the brass of the same series. If I have one basic criticism of the all concept is the decision to record the different sections of the native instruments symphony series in different places. It does not make much sense to me.

AudioBros are the ones that made LASS isn't it?... I'm more than happy with LASS, is String Ensemble worth the try?

Spitfire Audio BML Sable/Mural for me. In my opinion, best string libraries to date, but in terms of size-quality ratio, String Ensemble rocks!

I found it very easy to use and also very realistic and with a great strings sounds. I've been thinking about getting the brass section but I already have Cage Brass-Bravura Scoring Brass-Orchestral Brass Classic so I don't really see a need for getting it, unless any of you got some advice about it.

I'm gonna EDIT the title and put in capital letters the word "LIVE", cuz i started the thread thinking about the "live performance". I know there are a lot of awesome libraries, i haven't tried the OT BS for example, but i am pleased with LASS, Cinematic Strings does their job very well, BUT i'm talking about live performance:
    • fast response
    • attack quality and velocity
    • dynamics
    • sound's (sample's) quality
    • full ensemble nki is precious
    • among others...

for sure, it has a softness sound quality that makes it very versatile, without lacking of attack "agressivness"..

I think it has the best interface I've seen, by far. As far as sound goes it's obviously well made and usable and all that but I wasn't really impressed. But damn it, I really love the interface and auto-divisi.

isn't Miroslav Philharmonik an old library? i would like to know in reference of it's sample's amount, if it competes today with top orchestral libraries..?
