hi, happy new year! i have a question: How I can reinforce melodies?

 

Phrasing, repetition & counter-point (counter-melody)

1- Singing then converting it to notes.
2- Using random melody note generators.
3- Playing with scales' notes randomly over the chords.
4- Voice leading style first then working on octaves.
5- Using Arpeggiators always give valuable ideas.

Melody creation is not like chord progression that has been discovered or formulized before. In most times melodies are written randomly using the above methods. I bet giant electronic stars doing the above ones unless you'd work with acoustic instruments that in this situation reading theory books is highly suggested.

try using call and answer phrasing, harmonies, tension tones, theres a lot you can do theory wise

 

Listen to other stuff and copy it until you get the hang of it

 

Reinforce? Layering! Or bolt it to the ground.

 

Tell the melody... your good enough, your smart enough... and doggonit, people really like you!
