These plugins are really good. Personally I prefer Slate Digital, those plugins are great for all purposes! And they are really musical.

Anyway, the problem here (from my POV) is that the guy is doing way tu much things on the master bus, he should work those things during the mixing process, on the individual tracks. The mastering it's only the last stage, you shouldn't be doing that much eq and comp and adding that much saturation! Your mix should sound great to start with, mastering it's just for limiting and correcting little frequency problems (no more than 3db)

Hope I was clear (not a native english speaker haha)

    Good Luck!

brainworx has really good plugins. maybe an overkill for EDM.
i am more the native daw plugin user, i prefer it because its better implement and the sound quality is enough for me.

You won't go wrong with bx. But you will need to learn how they actually work. This is not the requirement but if you know mid side techniques then they are for you.

Native Plugins are good, not always, but good, and they do the job, but sometimes, "good" isn't enough, the only good Native plugins i heard they sound good are, Ableton's Reaper's and of course Avid's or Digi's, Image-Line has some "ok to good" Plugins, but yet most of the time we go for the 3rd party plugins...

anyway for Brainworx, not really sure about them, never tested them or played with, Check Fabfilter & iZotope buddy

I actually still use dr dynamic range meter free, which they bought and are selling with a new skin.
It always sits on the right side of my screen hiding behind the mixer

People rave about Logic's plugins. Steinberg makes good stuff too. I can't think of any DAW that has bad stock plugs these days. I guess I never really use native Studio One stuff :dunno:

well it is not about bad bad stock plugins, it is about if they do the job or not ? or do they meet your needing, and do they sound good ? and what do they have to offer more than other plugins.. personally still prefer, image line delay 2 lol
