Try finding/installing the Omni 2.1 update.

I had this issue but I'm sure it's been fine since the update. I hadn't even remembered that it used to lose the sounds until reading this. (I'm on Win 7 x64).

And applying the update means you can install third party presets in the new .omnisphere format. :like:

well, i am on a Mac and it's been like this for a long time, even after the 2.1 update, i'm still having this problem. Very annoying!!
not sure what to do now...maybe i'll remove and re-install Omnisphiere 2 again.

My best Christmas gift...A FIX FOR OMNISPHERE!

yah, i will post later further testings, i think the whole problem can reside maybe by the manipulation of registry files or permission files by installing other software or plug-ins after/before installing Omnisphere2. Recently i've made a bad thing with permission files and a whole folder with libraries (about 100GB) were erased from my external HD..... :(...... I did'nt find the cause of this...

I remembered a while ago I started running cubase as admin. This could have coincided with Omni working fine.

If you've tried everything else and have nothing left to lose, try reinstalling Omni as administrator, then run the DAW as admin too. No guarantees but could be worth a shot. Like Mundano said, I'm sure it's a permissions thing.

I'm pretty sure if you buy it, you're problems will go away....maybe try that?
Whining about a pirated piece of software that you got for free for testing....srsly?
You have all the options, all the sounds, everything to test out the synth for as long as you want.
And if you really like it that much, buy it? I love omnisphere, i have the same problem of not saving patches...but it's free....
And people ask themselves why groups stop releasing? lol
This is the time of getting everything easy, without having to do a thing, and people still complain.
10 years ago, you would have been over the moon for have that much possibilities, now people rant and complain.

Thanks man, what if i can't or don't want to spend that much money right now? But affording a product or not it's not the "point" here in this thread. Are you certain that if i buy the product everything would work great?? Why, are you part of Spectrasonics team, checking around here?
Instead of mocking us all here for been ungrateful and complaining, it would be much useful if you came here to help.

    Thank you.

I'm not affiliated by them, i have the day 1 release, i was refreshing the page like mad, when i saw the first couple dvd's getting uploaded.
I can't afford the synth neither, my wife and i even have collective debt, that we are trying to get out.
Does that mean i need everything i see, and will rage when not getting it? No wait, i'm passed 5 year old....
I've read somewhere (not sure if it's true) that they actually implemented this bug, and that it is a part of the security.
There are so many synths out there for the grab, even free ones that actually sound better, then commercial ones.
I'm holding my breath together with everyone else for a fix for this, but in mean time...i make music (and post on the forums hehe) ;)

Is this issue only on multis or on normal patches?

Patches return correctly for me when a saved project (using saved Omno preset) is loaded.

    Hey "One Reason",

Yes, so far with my experience it's on multis.

If what "dayron"just said is true about this been a"bug" implemented by Spectrasonics....then that's pretty nasty.

What daw do u use? Live 9
Do u ever turn your pc/mac off or restart it? Sometimes
Do u ever close and reopen your chosen daw? Of course
Are you using 64 bit or 32 bit OS/Plugin? 64
Can you give us a bit more detail about what you posted above? Yeah.. I'm typically drinking when it doesn't happen.

if you have some expertise or proof that qualifies you to blanket state such things then please share with us.

Otherwise just sounds like Know-it-all-ism.... looks bad.

    Some thoughts...

I've downloaded recently Libraries for Kontakt to one of my externals HDs. I've moved these libraries to another external HD for space saving, and have the issue of "missing samples", when i choose "add Library" redirecting this folders to the 2d external HD. Then i re-choose the old HD one, and all works fine again, libraries and samples are found.

I was thinking maybe this observation is very important, cuz when you download files for example that HAVE registry and permission issues to a first HD (external or internal), the files are allocated FOR THE FIRST TIME at some "original" places within the hard disk. Also, and from this place the registry files are already identified as they are. When you move this files (in my case with the libraries), although they are identically copied wherever you want, some sort of missunderstanding takes place and the files can't be readed as is.

Guys, where are you placing the STEM folder for Omnisphere? i have installed this synth complete in my Computer Hard Disk, and it works wonderful, no bugs. STEM folder contents multis and patches infos. When there is the case this STEM folder were installed in an external HD, could be maybe that for every restart of a session Ableton Live9 would have a problem to recognize the paths of the patches???

    keeping trying... cheers

On Mac here, my Omnisphere 2 is installed directly on my SSD, same as my previous Omnisphere, but i never had ANY problems before with Omnisphere like i have with this one!

You need to buy Omnisphere 2, it requires the latest updates to work.

    Hi,

Still have the Issues with the Patches even when I save them they disappear after reloading.

That is really a nightmare but I think It’s time to buy the SO2 and give Developers something back but:)

My concerns are know when I’m going to Authorize SO2 what will happen with trillian and Stylus or all patches like VIP and MOOG and third party Patches.

Can I Authorize SO2 without installing everything again and only delete the Authorization Files?

If some of you got experience with that please let me know.

    Thx

Ok guys, it has begun with me too. ...but after tweaking with Ableton Live9, before that it was doing really well, now it forgets the patches also... I keep saving the patches within the plugin holder in Logic Pro X, and it works well, the only way though.
