i'd like to know if i can use the m-audio midisport 2x2 midi interface as a midi splitter for splitting a midi signal into two midi out for controlling multiple volca bass with one drum machine ?.... i wont use it thru usb only as standalone split box (if possible)...

It's not a splitter per se, but a 2-port (independent) midi thru.
If your drum machine has midi thru you might use that.

I have the green version of the midisport 2x2.

 

You might be able to "hack" it into a Thru box with a little bit of soldering, so one input will be routed to two Midi Outs.
I dunno exactly what you mean my "split", but you won't have any split-by-note or split-by-channel functionality with this one.
Some more advanced boxes like the iConnectMIDI2+ can do all that.
