    How ironic

whether he used loops or not... sort of immaterial.. depends how they are used... creatively or not..

and I think ( in principle ) he nailed it .... or the very least a good example of loop based production...

Yeah...I also said it was done well. Although, the fact that I can tell it was mainly, if not completely, created with loops is what makes it relevant.

Ok Thanks you for your honesty. Please do not take any offense to what I am going to say it's just the way I feel. It sounds great even fantastic, but understand to me at least you just took some loops aligned them cut here pasted them here and walla a song.. In other words you are fantastic at cutting and pasting and using a computer. You tell me what you think of this collaboration ?

Yes I play instruments and use a computer, mostly guitars and some keyboards.MY03 did the keyboards on this one it needs mastering so please excuse the poor sound quality.

    Peace..

I think you are referring to Spencer Mastering am I correct?

If so, yes Spencer has asked for us to change the song it in some ways and we all are working on it. It should be available shortly.

I will post a thread once it is available for review again.

I'm not sure you understood what he said.

He said he sampled the little breakdown from funky music but composed the rest. There's more to that than you seem to give him credit for.
Certainly computer skills are important but aren't we all good at that? I'm not sure why anyone would take offence to that? Or why playing an instrument is worth extra credit?
For an early draft, putting together musical ideas to evoke a feeling is kind of the point.
    That's how I feel anyway.

I think it sounded great and again I mean no offence to anyone it's just to me. It takes some skills for sure. Now let's compare thouse skills that to anyone who plays a guitar do you remember how easy ( LOL ) it was to get your hands coordinated and also how about bending your fingers to make funky chords. Even with piano the left and right hand coordination. Maybe it's me, and please this is not to slam anyone Maybe I just respect musicians more.

I respect musicians more than people (like me, yes) who make music on the computer. Musicians needs to learn how to play (example: guitar) for couple of years to be able to playing songs on it. But if you do your music on your computer, its hard too. I mean, its easy to do a 4/4 beat, bassline, hihats and stuff like that. But it would sound cheap if you dont know what are you doing. There are so much fun thing to do.

For this project that I finished it I spend lets say a week to finish it. I could easly finish it in one day, post it on Soundcloud, but it would sound like sh*t. I just want to say that its not easy to be an electronic producer, its a lot of work and learning too. At the end, its just music. Let's enjoy it, no matter who done it. :)

    yeah I do :)
guitar is my best instrument and I play a bit of piano too.
and I've, only a month ago, picked up the violin for the first time. And right now it feels harder, but I know that in time, I'll realise it wasn't harder, just different. I was a guitarist before windows 2000, so the learning curve was steep going from windows sound recorder to some no name, buggy, uglay DAW. "WTF is a DAW???" lol.... different

Wow I tired to play Violin once it was cool but different from a guitar. The neck was so small..

well no expert on "producers" .. but douchebags like skrillex and doodoomau5 ... are they creative? they don't play a damn thing of their own ( that I have ever seen ),just triggering samples in a musical way, making original loops (perhaps with some self played phrases ),and using those.... this is what the genre(s) seem to be all about from my unstudied viewpoint...

I have been playing guitars and keys for a number of years.. and got an acoustic drumkit in my living room..
but I don't think I could organize loops as well as mR. mvs there...
though I might be able to come up with a better self played instrumental track than he could...

let's compare apples to apples.. instead of apples and oranges ... better?
