    hey guys

    at about 1:45 in the song below theres this snare shuffle/fill thing... i'm wondering what it's formally called?



    and how'd i go about achieving the sound? im thinking a hi-pass filter on the snare with compression to make it pop? massive noob, sorry! haha

    It's just 16th-notes. You could mic a Pringles-tube and play 16ths. :)
    Yes, you could try to lowpass it some (and pan it and make it dominant in the mix).
