For people who use ASIO4ALL it might be worth checking out the latest version at http://www.asio4all.com/ which was released Nov 5.

    Changes since version 2.12
    • Workaround for a bug in the Windows 8/8.1 Bluetooth audio driver (causing BSOD when device is opened twice). This bug seems to have been fixed in Windows 10.

    • Improvement: UI response time and driver (re-) start time should be a lot snappier now.

    • Fix: Some Application Verifier errors should be gone.

Changes since 2.12, because 2.13 is described.
    They did a typo.

And, as I see, they edited 2.12 release notes, now it is much more extended.

    Thanks for info.

hmm is there a installer for FL ASIO, not interested to install FL too, just to keep FL ASIO?

will upgrade my ASIO4All thanks for the reminder.

Cool post. I keep a copy of ASIO4ALL on a flash drive. invariably, it will come in handy at a party when some guy is complaining about latency problems (and hasn't heard of ASIO).

    Does anyone prefer FL ASIO?

I've tried both and tend to find ASIO4ALL works smoother on my Win7 system than FL ASIO.
I also have Win10 installed on a separate partition for my music programs only and find it's native drivers to be better than both.
I'm wondering what others personal experiences might be regarding this?

i find FL ASIO smoohter. maybe works better for my soundcard, i can go for loewr latences in ableton as with ASIO4All.

ms has recoded the audio drivers, because it really sucked and was a lightyear behind the time. so glad they did. well my soundcard isnt supported on win10 and it has still a lot facepalm features. maybe some time in the futre i will upgrade.

I guess it is also down to soundcards. I have an Audigy soundcard and have had no problems so far.
I get great latency with Win10 and can also fire up several audio software at the same time without having to mess around with settings or third party software etc.

ill check it out, tx for the advice... on the other hand, i wanna say something. i have been working lately with the FL Studio ASIO wich they have incorporated in FL Studio 12, and i got to say, its really stable... also, they fix the limiting audio since windows 7... i remember way back when i have xp, that i could open FL and any other software wich will be using audio, like window media player for example, with no problems, when windows 7 appears, i suddenly found that when ASIO4ALL was active, NONE of the sounds outside the program that was using ASIO4ALL could reproduce any sound... that was a bommer at that time, but i could live with that, but right now, FL Asio fix that, and its stable, so ill be using it for now...

This program is a life saver not only with cards without native ASIO but also when you've to use two sound devices at the same time.
The typical example is when you use a USB Mic along with an internal card.
