sup guys.. fellow musicians.. wanna ask some newbie question about tonal kick and track key..

    ok let say..

im making a beat with C major, so my whole song will be C major,
as for the tonal kick, can i use F key? or other key but not C?

or i must use the exact key of my song? F# major have to use F# tonal kick something like that?

    Thanks all!

I would say it's safe to stick to root key.

Sticking to the root note is safe, but depending on the track and what other low-end instruments (bass) are doing, it can be worthwhile experimenting with other notes in the scale, the fifth, 3rd or even the seventh etc. To give it a different vibe or to avoid conflicts between kick and bass.

You probably already have a synth that can make a kick suitable for your track and it might already have a preset with some kicks you can tweak.

If the key is C major, G would be a reasonable choice for your kick's tuning (it's the scale's fifth)

I would seriously advise researching music theory regarding harmonies and chord progression.
There's heaps of info all over the web including here. http://www.artofcomposing.com/08-diatonic-harmony
You can write a bassline that moves through your key using your kick. Hardstyle is full of that kind of thing.
Just try to stick to the pentatonic scale
    If you're in D# it's: D# , F , G , A# , C
