I agree Nexus 2 is an excellent synth. I got a cracked version and many expansions. Wouldn't mix legit with cracked.

 

i cant seem to get the craked libs to run they crash my daw everytime...

 

From what I've seen (and I've got the legit version bought), sadly the cracked expansions wont work with the legit nexus2.

the dongle is just to let you run the software and the expansions you will need master license for it (each time you add expansion you will need to update your master key , and for the last cracked version is 2.2

and for the new expansions they work only for the new version not the old one

about omnisphere it has a lot of usable sounds like choir & bass sounds and now you can make your own sounds even for EDM or any electronic genre

at least if i have to choose i rather choose Omnisphere cause it's better than refx nexus cause they don't use dongle and nexus has those expansions half of their sounds are unusable and reFX has a weak spot when it comes to create your own sounds not like other plugins that give the possibility to make your signature sounds and the interface is too limited if you compare it to omnisphere

i have a legit reFX Nexus & didn't use it for almost 16 months now cause of that dongle thing , that's why i use Omnipshere & it's a lot cheaper than nexus (and if spectrasonics decide to do dongle i will drop them too)

if they offer the dongle for free that will encourage people to buy their stuff

that dongle thing is like someone or company decide to hire a security people and the costumer have to pay the security team & that is so crazy , that's why i support only the people that care enough about their costumer

of course, there is a solution.
1) Install legit Nexus and use legit Nexus libraries
2) Install cracked Nexus to another directory, and use it through the VST Bridge with cracked libraries

 

they posted those expansions in hope of someone who could make new nexus works without the dongle
the thing is all the expansions that require nexus 2.2.1 or higher version it was shared only by people (legit members) & not by teams and the main reason there's no new nexus anymore because Team AiR at that time it was no longer active for that matter

I'm on a Mac, so you're telling me that I can keep my v1.4 cracked and buy the 2.6 or whatever version and use them both at the same time?

 

I made the experience that the legit Nexus does not work with cra...d expansions. Point.

 

I mean, with the cracked version I would still use the cracked exp that I already have and they work. And with the new version (legit buy) I would use new expansion that I will buy. So I can keep them both... Is it possible?

 

You can have both legit and cracked installed, like N_V said. I have had that for a few years. I use AIR version via JBridge and legit x64. I open legit banks in the legit one, and cracked expansions in the cracked one.

And no, those 2.3 expansions floating around the net will NOT work with AIR version.

Nexus used to have a keyfile for each expansion in version 2.3 - 2.4. Then it was possible to share that keyfile, and another user of legit 2.3 - 2.4 could also use that expansion. However, reFx changed their licensing to a master keyfile, and this is not possible anymore.

None of the 2.3 expansions floating around contain a proper keyfile though. I have tried several.
