Hello, here's a little piece of music I composed for my newly born niece. I'm opened for any kind of hints, opinions, and constructive criticism. Hope you'll enjoy it :).

This music is the most meaningful one that I have listened since joining this forum. All of the elements of a good music is in it. To be honest I was not listening to these kinds of music previously due to of my low knowledge and non trained ears but I changed my view and started to think differently and I am so happy about it.

Please kiss your niece's little face for me.

I'm welling up with tears of joy. It's beautiful. I'd love to write write more but I don't appear to be able to see my screen very well right now. It's gone all blurry.

    Bravo!

Edit: upon listening for the 4th time, I wonder if softening the velocity of the final note, and sustaining it, would be a cool idea.

Sounds very very professional! You like Tchaykovsky! Strings so natural! Like real orchestra plays.

That was a good piece of music, right there. I'm very impressed. Good arrangement and good use of orchestral instruments. I would say add some falling and rising wind chimes (orchestral percussion) as fills or transitions. The overall quality and melody sounds like something I'd hear in a majestic fairy-tale film during a very mystical scene. Indeed magical sounding. It has that mystifying feel to it. Fits the story and subject behind the song - Lullaby for your niece - impeccably.
Also, as a word of advice from personal experience - don't miss a day of your new niece growing up. My first niece was born when I was 5 years old. She's turning 17 next month. Thankfully I grew up next to her and now I can call kind of her my sister because she's closer to my age than my biological sister (aka her mother who's 36 now). My niece went from wanting a barbie doll for easter 12 years ago to wanting an iPhone for her "mid-year birthday" now because her birthday is so close to christmas. I have 4 nieces now and my youngest is 2. It definitely is a surreal and blessing experience no matter how old you are. Cheers and congratulations. Great job on the music. One of the bests I've heard on here in a while. :mates::wink:
