Although I think that's an open topic for discussion, video shows otherwise :)

If all would stop agree to do spec then we all would become much more happier. So funny how people differently threat real life and via Internet relations, that's rly amazing and I guess there's a lot of books about that already out there.

I vote NO for spec too! Happened to me once and never agreed again.

I'm confused, what "spec" means? I regard that term to be abbreviated "specifications" or "technical specifications", but it's not applicable in this context. Google and wikipedia didn't really help. :dunno:

    Spec is short for speculative.

    Great video.

I've found this... (it sounds like a bullshit)

Work done "on speculation" ("on spec"), meaning that the person or company that did the work did so at their own expense, with the hope that the demonstrable results would spur sales, convincing customers to pay for future such work.

I think work on spec has a time and a place, but it's heavily abused.

Yes spec is for short for speculative work and it means "do it for me and I'll pay you if I like it. No like no pay" It includes remix competitions too.
