    Hi guys,
Would love opinions and suggestions on this new one.

Had a go and mixing in piano, not something I usually use as a component on tracks.

    Cheers,
    Ben

I love C Major scale inspiring for me but seems you need serious effort on Music theory. Sorry for that but putting some notes aimlessly on roll never turn you to a musician.:no:

So expert musicians like yourself don't write in C. I thought out of all people you'd be supportive with with amount of stuff people have said about your music.

I agree music theory is important, but there is also the composition, sounds, samples, mixing and all the other things that make a song aswell.

sorry guys but I must disagree with both of you... :dunno:
first, @foster911 , what actually turns you into musician? :)
second, @Ben , you should never ask for opinions if you can't handle criticism. :)

Being supportive does not mean praising someone. Dominant part of any song is its musicality (unfortunately most dance musics lack it). Anyone in the world with engineering perspective is able to change the sounds of any song for better sounding in the digital world. :winker:

In this song I don not see any flavor.

I feel... It is more about taste. Not all kind of music is liked by everyone. When we produce music with technology.. The track should be judged by its technicalities in addition to the most important: musicality.

@Ben you have a good piece of music. But IMHO, you should not get irritated when somebody does not like your creation. Rather, it can be taken positively to improve for future.

    Best of luck. :)

I agree but saying notes are aimlessly placed in piano roll is a bit to far. I appreciate criticism and yes I agree people's taste differs, but just because you don't like something doesn't mean there wasn't effort put into the track.

Thanks everyone though I appreciate your feedback :)

Song is ok has that ambient feel, first you must take your ball to the earth and learn to recognize contructive criticism from hating criticism,
take positive from comments practice and you will rise :winker: and run from those guys who tap you shoulder and say it's exellent, that is not the way it will ruin you and your creativity it will only feed your ego and vanity cheers and good luck in the future work

It's hard-work, always. I agree for that part. Any creation requires efforts.

But, You should feel better that your track is being is listened at least and you're receiving something to take home back to work upon.

IMO, It becomes much harder when one don't get sufficient feedback on one's work, especially when it is a starting phase of production. I am telling you based on my recent experience here. My post for requesting feedback will almost go dry, I think. But, that's OK. I presume that I may not have that catchy, crowd gathering tune. I need to work harder next time.

Thank you, and I do agree sometimes it's not useful feedback.

I appreciate the fact it's being listened to. I think it was more the approach he took, as to me it sounded as if he was just down right insulting the work put in.
I agree that music theory can always been improved and there is always more to learn.
That's why I post stuff here but I think sometimes people forget that people have put many hours of work in and they post it here for a reason. As you said to get good feedback, there are a few in this forum that are so quick to just say 'I don't like it', when I see it I always tell them to say why! At least then we have something to go away with!

You mentioned the key just to feel better about your tables? It's in A minor, in case you can't tell the difference.

Tranpose the exact same thing to Bb minor, it will look much more complex to the wannabe theory buffs.

I love see you here. I pulled out my .... from the tables. Maybe even worse one would happen in the future.:bleh:

I would be so happy to hear the difference. I'd always enjoy learning.

What difference? I just told you that it's not C major, it's A minor. Same key but different tonic, got it?

You forgot to write down which key/mode is your fantastic composition in.

    Hint: D something :bleh:

In the electronic music, knowing the Scales synonyms and modes with just 10 or 20 seconds of musical part of any song does not really help. You just invert the chords and select the notes from any octave you'd like because you are not dealing with the limitation of hand stretching.

Sorry maybe seem premature but I really want to know the differences in the electronic genres. In the piano roll you're free to place the notes in any distance for comparing the sound.
