I love PSP, but did they just finally get rid of the Mixpack 2? I've got most of their plugs, including Mixpack, but it doesn't seem like they're developing it any longer. Mixpressor 2 is one of the best utility compressor plugs you can buy, although I guess Vintage Warmer 2 probably makes it a little redundant. Sadly, it looks like this new one, in addition to future updates to their established plugs, are going to require more CPU and a more recent OS than I can currently provide, but the stuff I already have and use is invaluable.

    Here and there.
:guru::( Painful...but true! It's evident that developers are suffering from strong pressures by Apple & Windows.
If they don't (feed) provide software for new OS they might risk to go bankrupt...so they make believe.
It's not only the fault of developers, they get pushed & pushed...

These developers could make their software backwards compatible, considering there's a lot of companies out there that still do, it's just a shame that they choose not to. Fortunately, it's all artifice -- you can pretty much make the same quality music on an older system with "outdated" versions of these plugs as you can on the new ones, at least for the time being. Until recently, I was on Snow Leopard, then finally upgraded to Lion. I was expecting a huge leap in quality when I started using more recent plugs and working in 64-bit, but the gains were kind of minimal. Mainly, I was just able to use a more recent version of Kontakt and access some sample libraries I wasn't able to before. Most of the plugs worked and sounded the same way they used to when I was using much older versions, and a couple of plugs and software instruments I relied on no longer worked. I'll buckle down one day and buy a Mac Pro (not the 11-pound trashcan, just a tower that can still run El Capitan or whatever it is by the time I get one) and then, I'm sure I'll sweat upgrading all my plugs and VIs to the latest versions, but for now, my older stuff still sounds good and does what I need it to do.
