I own Diva, Presswerk, ACE, Bazille and Zebra, although I have not much money because i am student and have to work for my money in additon to university. And have to say i dont regret one single Euro i spent.
The support on kvr forum is perfect. You get so much updates for free. All the new Modules in Zebra. Diva: the JP Modul and the great Oberheim Filter.
The "lock"function, undo redo, 10% GUI scailing, ..., ... . For such a small company it's incredible how much effort and love they put to every plug in. For example Bazille, if it were just about money making the could have released it 5-6 years ago. But they tested it for years in a almost perfect public beta for free. In some KVR thread Urs explained and discussed their pricing policy and he even told how many plug ins u-he sold. I think, you can not be more honest as a company.
ACE = 70€ for such a versatile and great sounding vsti?? Pfff. No brainer.
And of course there are plenty of countries where 70€ are a lot of money. But hey, dont blame a little 7-9 people company for this global injustice.

There are several posts within this thread. The topic post is intentional, and metaphorically abstract to spark up the general discussion. All other comments I've left in this thread are well worded, correct in grammar, and straight forward. That doesn't mean I'm supposed to scroll through here and grade the numerous grammatical errors in several posts including yours, does it? I also haven't been scrolling through the thread in order to click the "dumb" button every time I see a familiar name just for the hell of it. Or, creating a new account just to come back and play kids games. There are a handful of people who are into doing that who can't even muster any words to submit a stable reply. And I'm not only writing on behalf of myself as there are several other members these kids like to hide in trees and throw pebbles at like it's some fun silly-shit for their simple minded asses to do.

Is u-he software worth it at it's current price range, or not? That's strictly what this topic is about.

You popped off as if you are a millionaire. And maybe you are. And that's another thing you should pay attention to. No one knows what you have. And you don't know what anyone else has. So don't assume.

For the sake of this next example I'm going to have you playing the role of a millionaire however:
You.. "How much does it cost?". Me.. "Well how much do you have?". In this scenario, are you going to allow me to convince you that $20 is a great price for a $2 hamburger according your net worth?

A business man knows how to spot a rip-off. There's rich men in America who still won't budge to subscribe to cable television for $120 a month. Not being baited into bad deals is one of the key reasons they got rich, and the master key to them staying rich.

If two separate people who both make the same exact 30k a year(average salary) go into a grocery store.. would it seem odd to you if one of them quickly filled up their cart, paid and left.. but the other stood in the aisles comparing price/weight/quantity and filled their cart strategically and carefully? Hell no it wouldn't seem odd.. because this is the normal contrast in how people choose to manage their money. And although they both earn 30k a year it's logical to guess that the careful buyer has more groceries at home, more money in the bank, or both.

Ohh lord. I sense this thread going into 20 pages by Monday. I thought the "Something is coming soon..." one was annoying. I think it would be nice to close the thread at this point. I have a strange feeling it's gonna make the community look very bad, among members who probably shouldn't be perceived as bad people. We're not a bad community, am I right? Perhaps this may make it look otherwise to those on the outside looking in. This screams "Don't touch me! I'm infected!" to useful members and "Come get me! I'm wet and have 35EE size breasts!" to morons who want to pollute the place. As helpful advice to the OP: I would close this one if possible. I think others are not agreeing with you on this one, with any due respects. You're really only make yourself look bad in the end. Again, I'm not attacking you.
BTW, I never understood the usefulness of the "Dumb" rating option. I understand disagree and dislike and somewhat even "bad spelling" but like others said, people take offense to it a lot. Therefore the result is people getting angry and attacking one another and therefore giving off a bad impression of themselves out of haste as the result of their enragement. If I had $20 for ever time I did that, Let's say I couldn't even complain about $200 to wipe my ass (never had to *knocks on wood*) not to mention afford U-he software. Just saying.

 

@claytonr.. My intention is to keep it open until the end of the day perhaps. I'm going to be fair and make sure I'm not the one who gets the last word before I close it as well. I doubt it would ever outlive the "Something is coming soon.." thread however. I don't know what the total member count is for Audiosex. But I quickly learned there's only about 50 different members who do most of the commenting in every thread. To me, tension is common. It's all over the net and not isolated in here. The explanation for it is simple.. no one has to look anyone else in the eye. So it's something all of us have to be used to by now if we visit any forum on the net. If I'm reading a "Pepsi or Coke" type thread there will always be room for debate. If it's a "How is my mix" type thread some will have good advice, some will pretend to have advice, and some will have ridicule. The only threads I've seen without much tension are "What's your favorite.." because it gives people an open chance to brag and do promos for companies they don't even work for. Thank you all for assisting in my research.

Not my fault that it wasn't released because something must had gone wrong.

I have mostly everything I could possibly want in the Pro Audio Field plus more because of you and others. There's no need to get angry. You see, I don't expecting crap. What I want, I save money to go and buy it legit. I don't sit around and cry about it, especially when there's something I can do to fix it. But basically I was making humor in your post, Ie: The orgasm reference. I know there are people on here who do expect too much so soon. But if I want something, there's 2 options: I save up to buy legit or I suck it up and make music with what I already have. It's not difficult to understand. Apologies if I hit a few nerves. I'm not here to fight with people unless they truly need it, otherwise I'd be wasting precious time. Btw, I have XXXs 2.7 legit. Best $280 I spent in quite a while, no regrets.
