I think that imagining this versione like Linux is just bad, really. This is Windows 100%. this version can do exaclty what other regular Windows 7 can do and better with some tweaks.

 

Are yourvperformance problem related to your Windows installation or hardware problems??

 

Thank you for the extra clarification. I read all the posts in this thread a while back (including the updates on the first post) and took for granted I rememberd enough to post such a reply, you mentioning "you aren't losing anything from Windows 7 Ultimate" again, was a "Duh" moment for me, silly me forgot about that part. I "confused" the concept of this release with the concept of options like nlite. No bloatware installed vs removing bloatware from the install. (this also is from memory so I might be wrong, lazy I know)

And yeah , I had little faith in the other ISO's. The only way to be sure which one was the correct one, was to ask... Or spend alot of time googletranslating Italian forums etc trying to figure it out for myself(though that's usualy my M.O.). So I hope I didn't come across unapreciative because the guide, everything packed together and just the selfless effort you've put in is GREAT! And as a "non-poster" my netiquette is bad and things get lost in translation in an attempt not to get longwinded.

The reason #1 why they didn't release a 8 or 8.1 release is because when you update the OS the chance to break the those ICE version are really high. The new Microsoft update way forced them no to create other ICE version.

 

That is stuff the everyone can do, just open windows turn off and turn on stuff not needed.
They actually unpack Windows 7, modified and tweaks file and then repack everything. When you do this kind of job you don't only need experience to do that (that they gained thru years and tons of ICE XP release and older one) but you need also the skill to do it. They not just open Windows, add few themes and then re-pack there is a lot. Well for me Greifi Grishnackh is a sort of R2R of the coding, as I already stated i've already tried his works a lot and i trust him hands down.

Those tweaks you post ,if they haven't already been done, you could apply also to this release to push the optimization even more. But then my suggest is if you already happy with your system no real reason to go for this.
