For Jump look at this link Might As Well Jump

keep it moderately dry for the intro/verse

Small amount of plate reverb and delay for lead line.

That particular sound/program is a on most Korgs. Try a VST version of a Polysix.

    The available formats

The OP-X is available as VST Plugin for PC and as Reaktor Ensemble for Reaktor5 Mac and PC. Both versions support automation and midi remote control.

Yes go The-RoBots option as that was the synth Eddie used when they recorded that song and played it live

The OP-X even have a preset called Jump for that sound

Tone2 Electra2 has a patch in the factory library called "Jumper" that's dedicated to that particular sound in Van Halen's "Jump". Look under Synths-Modern in the patch browser. Just for reference.

  21. In my humble estimation there is nothing remotely pop about one of the most ripping, creative and deliciously plain sexy guitar leads in the history of music. It is definitely contained within the pop genre but the lead itself destroys the cage that pop would confine it to, tears apart it's zookeeper limb from limb and belongs in another category all together. Let's call it anything but.
