Simon Cowell launches new talent show to find DJs

 

Why are they comparing Djs with chart hits though?

A number of DJs have had chart success over the last year with David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, DJ Fresh and Avicii all reaching the top 10 in the UK singles chart.

Surely they will be hunting for djs with amazing mixing skills, or are they after a dj/producer to make cheesy chart hits????

 

you could have all the mixing skills in the world, but unless you can read a crowd properly, you are still a crap dj....
this show will achieve nothing lol

 

Just give the Man some £££`s and maybe He will FUCK OFF!

If that Prick could commercialize and sell Fart Orchestra`s, believe Me, He would.

It is just EMBARRASSING!!

NO! It just means that any prick with a NEED for fame and a pretty face can leap frog over some Guy/Gal with REAL TALENT!!

I was wondering the same thing.

 

Sounds like it will be a producer talent show not a show about DJing / spinning records. DJ just rings better. I don't know how a producer talent show could work though, people want to hear music they already know. But maybe it's not supposed to be a prime time show in the same way x factor is

 

I don't see how this show could work if it is anything like American Idol. For example, how many DJs would be comfortable waiting in line to audition with $2,000-$3,000+ of gear. Then spend 30 minutes setting up for 30sec to 5min set. Very few.

 

what is DJ anyway ??
i would like to call someone in music world as a "MUSICIAN"no matter what genre and instruments they on ..

There is but he's been dj'ing for years, anyway those vid's are usually tv work which is common to do that.

Its all crap though he's just after a face, a product, and within a week, guess what?? This dj will be making professional pop/dance records. Amazing *yes*

 

DJs? Who's a DJ anyway..all I see is tards taking like 10 minutes to find the right pitch and another 10 minutes to blend the song while looking fancy.
I don't wanna see that happen on TV, embarrassing enough to see that in clubs.

Let some Hip-Hop DJs do it, or let them mix house or whatever, at least they have some skills to look at.

 

I hate these type of shows anyway. Think il carry on hiding in my studio while my wife watches all that bullshiz. I dont know what the rest of the world is like? But with shows like xfactor, t.o.w.i.e etc ruling in the uk, id quite happily get rid of my tv.

 

I'm all for giving people that would other wise have no chance with breaking into the music biz a good shot at fame and fortune. That's cool. I wouldn't watch the show because I listen to music all day at work and come home and listen to even more! So shows like that are a waste of eartime to me.


And I kinda hate Simon Cowell.
Somebody tell me that Simon Cowell's face doesnt SCREAM, "PLEASE punch me PLEASE". I dont care if the guy saves a baby panda from a burning forest. He is still a musical judging stick of farret poo to me.

I like to see other people prosper thou, gives me a lil hope. It just sux they have to put their fate in Simon The Ferretshit Cowells hands.

 

Lets face it guys... the golden age of the Dj is being commercialised :S

 

This has all ready been done. The Disco Mix Club or DMC championships has been going for years the only difference the people that enter this comp have real talent
