    This style of music must fall under some genre, but it is not "punk rock" – like how Taylor Swift's music is not "country."

    Sounds more like metal to me (probably a mixture of vague industrial metal and mostly nu metal). Not that it really matters, anyway.

    Yeah. For me, punk rock is not just a specific sound though. I've associated it with political messages, too. The same how "pop punk" seems to be a contradictory combination of words, if you're not talking just about sound character.

    Sounds like punk to me.
    OK it's not Greenday, Blink or Sum 41. But most punk isn't
