CHANGE VELOCITY IN DRUMS?

    my question:

    What about you as cambiais velocity to make the drums(kick, snares, claps, percussions)?

    on the downbeats (1.3) the aumentáis and weak beats (2.4) you go down this ?

    by the way, i make house

    Yeah m8 use velocity any way you feel. Just make it groove the way you want. Beat 1 and 3 are a bit stronger with beat 3 being not as strong as beat 1. Its a general guideline for a straight beat but when you get into other rhythms and syncopation that rule can go out the door.

    good question, now I was wondering where I can find more info on these 'velocity rules' like z3rO mentions? Any tutorials/sites you guys recommend? I always do everything by feel, but some guidelines can never be wrong :)
