Why was MegaUpload really shut down?

In December of 2011, just weeks before the takedown, Digital Music News reported on something new that the creators of #Megaupload were about to unroll. Something that would rock the music industry to its core. (http://goo.gl/A7wUZ)

I present to you... MegaBox. MegaBox was going to be an alternative music store that was entirely cloud-based and offered artists a better money-making opportunity than they would get with any record label.

"UMG knows that we are going to compete with them via our own music venture called Megabox.com, a site that will soon allow artists to sell their creations directly to consumers while allowing artists to keep 90 percent of earnings," MegaUpload founder Kim 'Dotcom' Schmitz told Torrentfreak

Not only did they plan on allowing artists to keep 90% of their earnings on songs that they sold, they wanted to pay them for songs they let users download for free.

"We have a solution called the Megakey that will allow artists to earn income from users who download music for free," Dotcom outlined. "Yes that's right, we will pay artists even for free downloads. The Megakey business model has been tested with over a million users and it works."

    Sure...
I'm just curious to know who were those "million users" ?
I've asked artists around me, but nobody was contacted to join the "test".
All this is bullshit. Mr. DotCom is a Fucking Pig ® - Est since 1994.
    End of story.

That's right there's probably a lot of thing(s) behind this... Political ? Business thing as you said ? Movie and music (Major companies) lobbying ? Who knows...

But all that exists since years, why they waited NOW to do this ? We'll probably never know...

That's the whole point. They could have gone after any of the file sharing sites, they're all dirty. So, why this guy, and why now? The MegaBox thing might have been a scam, but I would bet that UMG (and others, including the RIAA) was pretty scared that the idea could take off. Money is the motive for most of the evil in the world.

RapidShare and HotFile already had several trials in the USA, they won (just slowed down a lot) but they were NOT shut down... Why was MegaUpload shut down, instead of simply having a trial against it?. What's the difference?.

What happens now with all LEGAL data that users stored?. It's like if someone enters in your hous and steals your hard disk (but virtually). I guess USA's Dept of Justice and the FBI are gonna get LOTS of trials from around the owlrd from LEGIT users (in Spain, there's a consumer org called FACUA that is gong to stsrt soon, after the spanish gov said they wouldn' tback them up on this)...

MegaUpload was annoying, but it seems MegaVideo disturbed the Hollywood movie industry VERY much... Also, the upcoming MegaBox contributed to this...

But, possibly, the worst thing MegaUpload could have don is the recent promo video where top USA singers and producers endorsed MU... This made Universal Music go mad...

Another factor was the fact that untill a few days ago the SOPA was about to pass and become a real thing... Under the new SOPA law, Mr DotCom would go to jail for many years to come... But now it's not so clear...

Are LINKS (=INFORMATION about where you can find something9 illegal? Then, google and yahoo are illegal, too. Does lending a parking place for his car to someone else --if he does something illegal there-- make you an outlaw???. Mmmhhh...

YouTube is the public easiest-to-use-and-find place where anyone may find virtually any pirated song (in the forma of a video) on earth... Why didn't they shut it down? because it's from the USA?.

We all, all around the world, saw also in TV News about "someone" having massive destruction weapons ... Didn't you ?
So, don't trust all you hear, overall in TV news, and go check by yourself or at least contrast those news with other's.

Anyway, i did not heard about how many thousands of dollars you saved thanks to megaupload (or anyother download servers) ?.
Sure you never said "dammmmmm" while you were downloading ...

So, i was asking ... does anybody in this world longs for going to the root of all what's happening or of what are we talking about ?

    Thanks for listening!
