I am a proud owner of a VRMbox. I am wondering if anyone has already installed "El Capitan" and have been able to run box properly.

El Capitan just released on App Store, wait some time until someone try it.

 

So many things that people here can help, but help with fresh OS is an experimentation and a price that the duck in a lake must pay alone.
Who wanna shot the lonely lake that avoids the protection and the balance of the group?

 

I shall add this to my commandments tablets: "though shall kill the lake".

I've seen it. The thing is, they told that Yosemite would not work, but guess what, it did.

 

Just installed El Capitan, when opening VRM app it says:
"There has been an error communicating with the Daemon application, please check your installation"

So, that means no, it does not work at least for now.

 

Try booting into Recovery mode (hold Command + R while your machine is booting up), open Terminal and run without quotes "csrutil disable". Then boot your OS and try reinstalling the driver - I have no idea if it will work but worth a try.

The most important thing that changed in El Capitan is that with System Integrity Protection enabled (csrutil enable) apps and drivers have no longer access to key OS folders - anti-hacking stuff from Apple. But with SIP disabled this is still possible. So with a little luck most of the old drivers will still work.

As I have seen, the manufacturers are saying that their devices are not working on El Capitan based on SIP enabled setting.

 

I really like apple computer solutions but somehow they seem to be failing us (music producers) more and more. I wonder about W10...

 

mbox mini 3 not working in el capitan, already tried the above advice... still nothing. Any ideas?
