my last name is northcutt, so i thought why the hell not use it as my beat making name

 

That sounds smart cuz the 'cutt' in the name can sort of stand for alot of things related to audio. EQ cutting, vocal cutting, sampling, making beats in general :D

 

I loved the movie 'Lord Of The Rings' and loved all of its characters, wanted to use SamwiseGamgee..but it was too long..so used gandalf...I have seen this movie more than 30 times I guess...including two 12 hours marathon shows in theater

My Nick is comming from the Movie Angel Heart, Robert De Niro is playing a Character called Louis Cyphre
i used this Nick since i started going activ into the Torrent Scene (Private Trackers) and it became common that everyone was just calling me Luiz so i changed into Luizcifer for the ease of use for other Members to avoid the Misspelling and for me it was more eays to remember if i had to sign in drunk
but those Days are gone now but i still hang onto Luizcifer

 

TITS! (.)(.) We ALL love `em. As far as nicks go I think we can all pretty much agree that our friend Mr(.)(.) has stole the show. Probably the ONLY way to improve on it would be to have included our favourite action with our favourite anatomy, ergo:

Pilzy originally comes from Pilz which was my nickname at school. Pilz971 just has the last three numbers of my year of birth attached, I always thought the addition of numbers was uber chique when I was an urban spray can decorator! I have a surname which sounds very similar to the German lager Holstein. It was at the age of around 13 when we`d started attending "Ma & Pa are out"! parties that this link was discovered and from then on EVERYONE, including some teachers, started called me Pilz.

Then along came the late 80`s early 90`s and I found myself in the dubious position of making all the wrong connections and began supplying my namesakes to all and sundry. This just further cemented the name Pilz and tbh I`ve always kinda liked the fact that I had a nickname so I`ve just stuck with it.

Turns out that as you get past the 40 years mark and bits of you stop working like they used to you once again become something of a Pill head which just shows, things have a tendency of travelling full circle!!!

Must just say Superliquidsunshine, EXCELLENT thread, one of the most enjoyable I`ve read in a long time, kudos to you Brother!
