    Hi, guys!

    Just saw in one of a thread а disscussion about live's future features and decided to create a new thread where everybody can dream a little bit.

    Here is my whishlist:

    * Grouping within a group
    * In-clip audio editing
    * Bounce in Place
    * 32-bit VST support in Live 64-bit

    not gonna happen!
    grouping within a group would be epic, bitwig has it.

    * more native devices instead of m4l devices
    * vst3 support
    * bigger color palette
    * timestretch in simpler/sampler
    * auto backup
    * shortcut for freezing and flattering
    * fix delay issues.

    Yeah, and i know why :) Cause it would be a nonsence after they developed x64 and x86 versions.

    What kind of delay issues are you talking about?:dunno:

    @badformat

    1) no x86 will vanish soon, so why bother to code a brigde for it? that was ableton official statement.

    2) sometimes normal plugins generate delay issue on the send channels, i tried it, it sucks, when you want to use the send channel for bussing, so i used the grouping for that, but it would make things easier. some plugins do generate delays in ableton, but do generate no delay in other daws.
    fixed PDC would be actual nice.

    you can update the cracked ableton via the web, so its really fast and small instead downloading the big installer. and then patch over.

    good ideas too.

    1 - smoothing tool for automatition lines or a command that after selecting a "red line" of automatition smooths it with an apropiate algorithm that preservs what you did but better drawn... with the less possible dots
    2 - the choice to use the original browser that I think is based on the operative system so LIVE dont NEED to import to "places"
    3 - unlimited return channels and the posibility to duplicate them
    4 - when importing tracks from another session it HAS to be possible to import gruped channels as well
    5 - command + F to "follow" song instead of "find"
    6 - Edit Midi while still see other midi channel superimposed
    7 - Better midi edit options like editing the transposition of 2 or more midi tracks at the same time ETC like cubase that has an extensive midi edit menu
    these someone already said
    8 - vst3 support
    9 - group groups

    [IMG]

    -Browse VST+presets from push
    -Chop Samples from push
    -Clip editing MIDI track in arrangement view (not just the clip at the bottom of the screen)
    -PXT plus
    -Automatic color coding
    -Creative racks
    -Skins/themes (push too)
    -Lower CPU from M4L devices
    -Oscilloscope & waveform monitoring
    -Binaural Panning

    ghost notes in piano roll, right now i mute the notes and put them a few octaves above the part i am working on, so a lot like FL.

    3. you can do with a utility and assign a key to it, like "1", so you can press it when you want to check it.

    if they would create larger faders, it would be harder for all that live guys out there, because notebook screens are really small.

    I thought they fixed all PDC issues in 9.2 version. And even testing it on inserts devices. Never trying to test PDC on the send channels, well, i guees now i'll try.

    With some tricks in Options.txt you can make it load faster.

    I don't think Live has any troubles with audio quality. In some cases it's even better than other DAWs. For example high-quality downsampling. You can see the graph yourself - http://src.infinitewave.ca/

    I would:
    1 like the ability to comp better….
    2 "TAKES!!!!"!!! …..
    3 Better "note" implementation….
    4 Real bussing ala PT etc, that mitigate the grouping problems….
    5 Of course a more streamlined audio engine, so buffer sizes even on a powerful machine would not be as bad as they are compared to Logic etc… (but I understand they are designed for constant SRC etc, so that is part of the devil),….
    6 being able to bounce mono to mono… like Arctic said, better freeze to flatten, mp3 export, (or workaround, where one has to download the LAME codec or whatever if they are trying to avoid licensing problems)….
    7 Natively being able to look at a mix window and see what devices are instantiated etc (like any other daw, know there are workarounds, but…),
    8 and yes, a dedicated LFO etc without the need for M4L would be great…
    9 beter implementation with video
    10 Being able to nudge audio on a sample level like PT, or at least a more elegant way of handling it…
    and again
    11. TAKES!!!

    sure I have more, but those just immediately come to mind…
