I was playing around with Izotope's trash 2 today and was wondering if anyone could suggest any good multiband convolution plugins? Im having a problem with too much stereo in the lows from using convolution in a reese bass, and would like for the solution/plugin to be able to provide a low cut signal pass thats 100% original signal up to a certain frequency (like 200Hz), or have an adjustable set of bands for specific frequencies, like how the trash function is Izotope's trash 2 works.

I would prefer not to use any monoing plugins like monoizer due to excessive phase cancellation because the bass sound really nice with addition of stereoness in the mids and highs. I could make a solution in FL's patcher but then it would require me splitting up the original send three times and then using three trashes to get the sound again, but i would still encounter some phase cancellation.

Never heard about Multiband Convultion plugins, you should try to add a multiband imager after your reverb. I can name a few. Ozone Imager, T-racks imager, even blue cat Multiband...

Oh yeah! completely forgot about izotope's imager! Not even heard of the T-Racks one and i use the CS pack so often (Clipper, Comp and limiter), so ive gotta experiment with that! Not tried the blue cat ones either, and a quick google shown me MMelda has made a multiband convolution plug in its own right, although ive tried MMelda plugs in the past and they were super buggy/unresponsive for me. Cheers for the fast response.

Also i found out that the convolve feature's "Separate" tab only adds delay on both channels for spatial separation similiarly to izotope Ozone, but the width settings can actually mono, stereo and double stereo, which i guess is important to know too and could be useful for the double stereo setting. Mousing over the settings to see the pop-up information really demistifies what the settings actually do!

You are welcome and yeah MB-7 is extremely powerful and offers immense options. I fully agree that learning the core of one's toolkit is much more important than just grabbing something like MB-7 and going off the deep end (but once you've got to that point and MB-7 becomes something that you can invest some time into you will definately enjoy it). All the best your way SyNtH :D
