hi everyone. was wondering if anyone knew how to set up morph in fl12. i cant get it work. i either hear both sounds or i dont hear anything...and theres zero morphing going on.

there doesnt seem to be a way to assign inputs to a and b. im guessing theres some routing trickery im not privy to.

    thnx in advance.

i had a great theory for this with the routing possiblities the mixer now has but came to the conclusion that they would both still get on the same channel. it seemed so brilliant...

yeah i saw that already, unfortunately its not very helpful with regards to fl studio.

i have managed to get it to morph a little. its still not right, but its closer. and its after 5 am so im going to bed.

best results have come from putting morph on its own mixer track sending both sources to it and hard panning one left and one right. the panning is key.

im still getting some bleed from one source, but its late and im tired so maybe i didnt send them correctly.

ill experiment some more tomorrow if no one comes up with the answer by them.

so yeah i got it to work. i was right in my theory, i just executed it wrong.

    anyway heres what you do.

set up sound source 1 and assign it to a mixer track.
set up sound source 2 and assign it to a different mixer track
put morph on a third mixer track

highlight the mixer track for sound source 1
then right click the little arrow at the bottom of the mixer track that morph is on and select "route to this track only"

    repeat for sound source 2

pan sound source 1 100% to the left
pan sound source 2 100% to the right

    done, its morphing time!

i actually think this is easier:

you can set up patcher to do it pretty easily. its the same kind of approach, but you dont need to take up mixer channels and fuss about as much.

in patcher, set up the sound sources, have each one go into a panomatic, one left and one right, then have those go into morph...done.

if you remove the sound sources and leave everything else, you can save it as a patcher preset thats ready to go for next time.

of course the issue with using patcher is automating the morphing.

you can automate in patcher but thats a little trickier.
