Funny is that there is no Roland JP8000 in the comparison.
It was the first Synthesizer which came with the Super Saw :)
    And what about Serum !

the problem is that guy who created that playlist has no JP-8xxx.

Serum does a really good supersaw too. tried myself, its fast, but sounds different.

But couldn't keep it for yourself, there's plenty of threads which have, why posting here? :dunno:

Some among us are fan's of supersaws as artist's/producers or just can hear the difference, this is shootout for us here made by similar guy that was on the quest to find something that sounds closest to his Virus for this task, not for casual listeners, if you can't hear difference among them or have preference, that's your thing

    Oh the irony

Than find that one you feel related with and get into debate with other that is too :like:

It's supersaw, what you expect? :dunno:

You think, next time try to find something that makes you happy for a change and start a day with a smile, ohhh look, I just spent my morning coffee writing this, hope you will have a nice day

While there are some obvious differences in the oscillator tone and filters, I cannot help but wonder whether there were other differences between the patches...

In any case, I thought Zebra sounded best (followed by Lush), which for some reason is not on the poll.

    Nice catch, added :mates:

Different synth's have different supersaw algorithms, that's in equation too, for example Hive have 3 different ones and if one would put Hive here, he should do all 3

JP8k prices are really LOW these days, I have 2 units from the older days but one could get a couple for next to nothing really.

While the supersaw is nice, I don't really get hype it got in the first place. In fact, the feedback osc and triangle mod are much more interesting osc modes on the jp8k.

(and I've done 3 complete soundsets for the JP8K).

Some sounds just work, sounds good and people like it, especially on floor where appears in some cases as wall of sound, couple that with amazing groove and you got yourself people dancing in ecstasy, dunno, it's working, it ties itself with epic adjective, similar as that distorted Benassi saw bass, same philosophy, it sounds big even on small speakers and it's really something on PA, let alone overall character
