    Yeah, that's what's up

Let's get one thing straight from the get go, I'm not buying anything here or something, just avoid thinking about me at all, recommending me stuff and whatever, it's all about you, give me your opinion/reasoning/piece of mind, expand on it, I might too later :mates::thumbsup::disco:

*I'm genuinely bored and quite like this kind of threads, I know some of you do too

    EDIT:

if you are going to take a dump/piss, send me PM, leave thread alone for people that like it and want to be a part of it, there's plenty of other threads and forums, maybe there's other ways to achieve same level of satisfaction you feel doing it, so yeah, please move on :like:

What's better? In my last remix i used the following synths:

    FL-KEYS (x2)
    Toxic Biohazard (x1)
    Hive (x1)
    TruePianos (x1)
    Massive (x2)
    DUNE 2 (x2)

no Sylenth1, Why? Becaue Hive had the right sound. Next time... (maybe) I will choose Sylenth1 if it has the right sound for my new remix... In music production there is no black and white only (...shades of grey are useful too). That's why my (ironical) previous post. :drummer::chilling:

I am not a big fan of sylenth and his browser is contra productive.
I spend a lot of time organizing presets to avoid waisting time on production.
Also I love everything from U-HE.
The creators of sylent must ear a lot of money but updates, if I remember well the last is 64 bit beta version and before is 2009, its a joke:deep_facepalm:
Teach people is the supreme act of love right?:bleh:

Hive sound cheese and effects are just bad. Bad copy synth. Get Spire instead.

  7. I could never get with the GUI of Sylenth which killed my flow. I tried the Hive demo but was kinda like eh, though to be fair I only just barely blinked at it. If I get the urge, will fire her up again some time and extend my experience with it.

Reverb on Hive bad, are you sure? phaser, chorus too?

Personal taste or overall you think they suck?

Isn't Spire like Virus wannabe, it actually got very similar saw wave and implemtns one of the filters, kinda weird you say that...and nobody is buying here anything so no need for synth name dropping....

    both!

sorry xsze, but thats a stupid poll. :deep_facepalm:

i think the browser is good sylenth1 has, just fire up the soundset with 512 presets and then with keyboard commands you can go through all presets. its fast and you only need to use the menu to change the soundset. dont get it why people want a super big extra browser, its just crap and a distraction.

I never said Spire is real deal, but wannabe and in context with what he said and after I said no need for synth name dropping, but here we are again, Hive and Spire, that's it for this one, nothing else, please stick to topic.

No offense taken, I agree, poll could be better overall, option for another question, better editing, think I already complained about it...

About content of the same, agree too, stupid me, added third option :mates:but disagree overall, poll is perfect, many don't want to talk, just want to vote, so yeah, poll is not stupid at all for this thread

uhes effects are quite and also some other ideas he had there.
talking about bad reverbs in synth, you remember the sylenth1 reverb? its really bad, but you can really work it out to sound stunning.

what was the amount of time you spend with Hive creating presets? i think for me it was around 40-50 hours as i beta tested this thing too.
its far from being a bad synth.

you cant compare Spire and Hive with each other, because they have both different concepts.

You're not making sense xsze, Atric said you can't compare Spire to Hive and your rebuttal is to show a vid with Sylenth. So which is that you disagree about, Sylenth or Spire

urs said he wanted an EDM approach synth, everything on one page not to much to click around and easy to programm for the EDM people,
sylenth1 was just a starting point for him, but not to copy it. the visual concept maybe be the same, but the engine concept is really different as sylenth1 has really resonating filters, which i really dont like at all. also the filters in Hive are a lot smoother and more waveforms.

well i own all 3 synths, so i doesnt matter for me.
haha havnt touched any of them since i started working with Kontakt.

Sorry I went south in my mind, responded on something that never existed, but you got it anyways, sorry about that :( :mates:

They are in same ballpark even with differences (Hive&Sylenth) and no, of course, Hive isn't copy of Sylenth, it's take on whole concept and few synths, but can sound close enought

I have a question, do you own Hive??

No, used it for whole beta period since beginning, Spire used since 1.0 and Sylenth used for few years exclusively(were my go-to), none bought, both k'ed

We talked on chat, my motives with this thread were pure fun, saw similar thread on KVR and taught, let's open it here, talk little about Hive vs Sylenth, nice little stupid topic to get away from "why there's no warez for me" thread that seems to be hit right now, so yeah, all fun and all, I think my opinion without owning any of it is still relevant, it's not like I never used any mentioned synth or spend time with them, it's not like Hive beta lasted for a month and ended up last year and so on.

So all your reasoning is pretty mooth as you say and pretty much I don't dig OT-ing that much, so would appreciate to not have it, hence reports, and if this is apple vs oranges, than I disagree, different kind of apples, but still apples, just because there's another member who slightly isn't with me on it, doesn't mean it must be true, it means, we have slightly different opinion, but we are on same page.

Made a mistake before, taught about Sylenth ,there was Spire, that got sorted out now, again, I think everything I said, but for Sylenth.

Remove this one freely, it was stupid mistake opening it and expecting anything more than what it is, stupid pointless thread for OT-ing and taking piss on others, it would be fun I taught, it's not anymore

I remember a time, long ago, when i had to put 6 months of my salary on the counter just to buy one synth. Jupiter 8 or Polymoog? MiniMoog or Arp odyssey? You had to be wealthy if you wanted more than one type of sound (and more then one note at a time actually). Not to mention Sequencers and effects.
So this kind of poll make me both sad and angry.:dunno:
These synths are both very valuable and they're cheap.:like:

PS : And unlike former hardware synths you can TEST them for any period of time before you buy them!

@ xsze. I am not going to delete this thread like you asked. I already did that once for you today. I suggest you stop making threads and polls if you can't handle the responces

I will, that's really good advice, as you see, I made same mistake twice, one thing I can't handle for sure is OT-ing and that's the reason for reports and removal requests, first was totally derailed from original topic with me having to go in argument about it with someone who shouldn't be OT-ing in first place, here, I foolishly tried preventing it, but that's not possible, it seems OT-ing and personal picking (even when you give heads up about it in OP) is the way, well, not for me, so yeah

Sorry you had to see that, I feel sad too, maybe for different reasons, but still, hope your mood get's better :mates:
