yes this makes sense... i mean look all those Waves signature plugins endorsed by the world's best mix/masterers.... they have no dynamics control, no filters or EQ, just a massive STACK knob. that's how the very best records are produced. thanks for reminding all of us of this

you guys need to open your ear drums to, i never said i dont use eq or compression at all I SAID, i ONLY AND I REPEAT ONLY use it THESE DAYS (AS IN TODAY) ONLY at the MASTERING STAGE, which means, that because i never used any GAY-ASS-DYNAMIC RANGE DESTROYING eq in the mix (which btw you guys LOVE to praise as the end all be all answer to achieving a great mix, little hint you get what you mix eq or comp wont fix anything, if the sounds are shit to begin with the final mix is prtty much doomed from the start) i never wrecked the dynamics, its flawless, so time to soften the final mix in mastering! because i did that the mix is still very HARD AND STRONG..makes sense doesnt it.. thats the best method in my opinion. it just makes sense to me. sorry for disliking you all but i am tired of getting thumbs down and SNIDE COMMENTS.

uh yeah..of course! its what works best for me, the tracks i produced in the past had some eq, frequency cuts, etc.etc.. like MANY of you suggested to me..and various compression types, now i KNOW that ruined the mix.. everytime i compare the ones produced with eq to my lastest stuff i ALWAYS go for my lastest mix as the better one. its got a fuller more dynamic and JUST LOUDER sound

 

this is off topic but this might help you understand me a bit more :
In real life Im actually a pretty interesting guy, i love archaeology (avatar is a hint) I have 15 (YES 15) food allergies and i eat very healthy and only organic food, no meat, dairy, gluten etc..

but because of my allergies its hard for me to go anywhere in public places, because people always smoke and stuff! and the smells from the restaurants bother me!

 

Ok, about 4 or 5 of the prototype/concept tracks im working on is on my KA torrent page, you just have to be smart enough to find them (its easy to see which ones are mine..). but dont ask me if i created them because i wont answer. Those tracks are for my own movie idea, but i have yet to begin filming (and need funding its a great idea btw i have the script ready). I am also working on another soundtrack for another thing atm which i also cant name.

*hint they are (____ ____ Soundtrack) for 2017..

just like my trusty K-station, it's perfect for what the OP is asking for

 

Virus C. It has the sound from that time period. Just load the wavetables in a VSTi. Serum or Codec among many other have this capability. It sounds great.

 

I think this has been mentioned before, but Albino 3 should be good for the sound the OP wants
