so basicly what i ended up doing is recording each channel in real time (yeah i know) at 512 sinc to Wavelab 6, but it was the only way to export that particualr project without the invalid whatever error i get when trying to render it.

 

btw SynthMaster is really awesome (its too bad i get that error), listen to the results im getting from it, ok i lied a bit there are at least 4 different synths other than synthmaster working here but you get the idea..

this is sooo alpha its not even funny btw so dont critisize.. its just a demo i made of the sound im getting from it..

in FL STUDiO 11 there is an option to render at the highest settings called 512-sinc, but i couldnt do that for this piece because of the error so i just recorded it in real time to Wavelab 6. (and changed the real time mixer settings in FL to 512-sinc)

sorry i didnt know i couldnt have the exact file name it certainly wasnt a hyperlink tho was it? does anyone else Use FL STUDio 64 bit 11.1.1, fire up either the 32bit or 64bit version click through the default presets and tell me what happens i guarentee it will f up. its too bad its such a good synth :/

yeah my bad bro,, but if anyone knows a solution to my SynthMaster issue please let me know, most of the presets work but on certain ones the volume goes into the red and then when i hit next preset A HUGE PINK NOISE happens at random intervals it seems. no idea why, my guess is its just a simple bug needing a fix from the publisher. it seems like it isnt a crack issue, so HEXWARS is probably not to blame..? or maybe i should try it in another host..?

 

I am legit owner now but when I used the Hexwars version I never had a problem, may uninstall. clean out the registry and re install. Is the only thing I can think of to do

 

ive tried that, meh its ok ill make do i can use 80% of the presets anyway ;) its probably a Fl Studio issue, I bet if i downloaded version 12 it would be fine..;) i should put it in the cubase folder and see what happens.

 

I accidentally discovered that DiscoDSP Discovery's Nord Rack 2 and Pro Nord Lead layer nicely.

tried to incorporate some old school sounds..but Beta

 

There are some serious phasing issues and it sounds like recorded in a tin can.

What to do:
-install refx vanguard.
-find the right preset
-tweak it a little bit
-eq
-that's it.

What not to do:
-add layer after layer synthsounds
-go crazy on the fx

Mix:
isolate the kick
delete 1/2 of your percussion
eq your drums
separate your sounds in the spectrum

you're going waaaaay to complicated on this.
it's the simplicity that makes a sound shine, not throwing everything you have at it. That's a sure fire way to cacophony.

 

lol i was just playing around anyway, but i dont use eq or compression anymore, i mix as flat as possible = maximum quality.

obviously you know nothing how eq ruins a sound, it took me a long time for me to figure out, after reading so much bs online. but anyway, i agree the obove track is shit and would never pass as commerial. it sometimes takes me 10 practice tracks to get in the mood to make one good one.

 

Are you saying that you are layering tons of sounds without EQ-ing anything?

Please post your finished track that you find sonically pleasing and not "this is demo, so it sounds shit" so we can really hear how that "no EQ and layering tons of stuff" philosophy actually sounds
