you missed two supersaw emulators, the JPK8 from Adam Azabo and Sunriser from Bepstreet but i like how Spire, Access Virus and MUX sound ...would be nice a Nord Lead 3 near of those

+1 for the MUX, only for closest though.

DIVA sounds really good, also the the not HQ version.

LUSH also good. massive the env is to tight.
and MUX is really good, for alchemy the filter sucks.
lol @ Z3ta2, z3ta+ v1 sounded pretty good as supersaw.

Mux does sound good , Lush is cool & Massive sounds pretty good. As Artic said filter on Alchemy yak!
Didn't like Blofeld sounds wierd & also didn't like Sylenth way to much delay ping-pong like.
Z3ta2 sounds like a Bontempi

This made me want an Access Virus :suicide:.

There really are some dramatic differences. Mux and Spire are good, Blofield sounds weirdly out of tune. Dune and Sylenth have too much reverb/delay. Massive has a clicky attack that I don't hear in the virus.

I love the thick, crisp, bright tone of the Virus yet it sounds together and not too detuned or washed out.. is this a fair comparison? I've never heard one in person but I'm starting to see why it's such so popular :beg:

It's most important that you make a good melody

agree in this grouping.. MUX the smoothest... weird punctuation on Massive..sort of a chop chop effect, ( words fail me yes)
next up would be Lush and Spire, either sound good... concur with Clandestine about the ping-pong effect mentioned
for Sylenth. Sylenth settings never seem to transcend an underlying sound for me.

Would also agree that getting JPK8 on the list is a must, stunningly smooth, and would be my top pick !

So true.. a midi file with cheesy midi sounds can sound cool if it's a good composition. With all the options available to us many are quick to blame their tools. even I have to repeat to myself sometimes.. "stop making excuses.. start making music"

But back on topic, I wonder how omnisphere compares?

I liked Virus, so I looked for how much I could get it for.

    I like Mux now.

That list is doing my head in.

Every time I try and do the comparison bit, the next one starts in a different place and by the time i find the right bit, I forgot how the previous synth sounded exactly.:dunno:

MuLAb looks very complicated to me. I have enough trouble building things with lego, let alone piecing together synths and effects

i don't see the point. Of course there's a few synth miss a bit of clarity but to me that's just a supersaw. Is there FAN of supersaw out there capable to say huh! man this one from this synth is incredible :bleh:
Hahaha... I don't want to be the hater of the thread but unless i didn't like so much EDM and Trance genre... I probably say exactly the same if someone talking about a dub chords with a poll on some synth... And i will reply huh man that's just few saw with nice automation on the filter with delay and reverb... We all start by this easy to do sounds isn't it, but synthesis is way more than that, create a track with a beginning and a end is so more, make chord progression, inversion, music harmony and not stay in the same mode all the way to the end is way more..., and made a hit and find his sound without copy is (out of the discussion).
I probably have a bad getup sorry guys :mates:
