    Hello, guys!

I've updated to win10 (...) about a month ago. My Steinberg UR22 soundcard driver installed flawlessly, and I had no software or hardware issues up until about a week ago, when the windows audio driver died on me. Sound from windows now comes from my laptop speakers, and trying to switch the devices in windows does nothing. When I try to play the test tone in the device selection screen, 'Failed to play the test tone' error appears. In Ableton and StudioOne, asio works. I've installed foobar and added the asio extension so I can listen to youtube videos at least, but It's getting frustrating at this point, since I can't watch or listen to anything coming from windows on my monitors.
Is there a similar solution to what I've done with foobar? (force windows audio to asio) Or any other solution whatsoever?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
If you need any more info, let me know.

I have a UR28M.... Supposedly Steinberg is releasing updated Win 10 drivers this month.

We'll see... keep checking for updates from ur control panel.

Tried, says all's up to date. What's bugging me is that it happened all of a sudden. I was midway through a movie. But, yeah, that will probably get sorted with the coming update (didn't know it was coming). Thanks a lot! :)

Did you apply any windows updates before it stopped working?

If it was work and stop, probably some update or critical update have broked it. About week ago you say, so read below. Not all update are able to uninstall though.

You Can View Your Update History and Uninstall Updates

If there is a problem with your PC, you can uninstall problematic updates afterwards. To view your update history, open the Windows Update interface, select “Advanced options,” and select “View your update history.” You’ll see a list of updates, and you can select “Uninstall updates” to view a list of updates you can uninstall.

This may be useful infos for ppl

Windows Won’t Download Updates on Metered Connections

Windows won’t download updates on connections you mark as “metered.” This ensures Windows won’t waste valuable tethering data or other mobile data on updates that can wait until it reaches a solid, unrestricted Wi-Fi network. To prevent Windows from downloading updates on a specific connection, first connect to that WI-Fi network.

Next, open the WI-Fi settings panel and select “Network settings,” or open the Settings app and select “Network & Internet.” Scroll down in the list of Wi-Fi networks and select “Advanced options.” Activate the “Set as metered connection” option here. Note that this only affects the current WI-FI network you’re connected to, but Windows will remember the setting for this specific network in the future.

Thanks for that info. Unfortunately, I can't set my connection to metered because I use cable to connect (wi-fi doesn't work). Uninstalling updates didn't do anything.
Is there a workaround similar to what I mentioned in the first post? If not, I guess my only option is to wait for Steinberg's update...
