    Hey people

    I'm currently running a pc, with 1 VGA cable & 1 DVI.
I would like to connect 2 average monitors along with a TV.
How can I pull this off?

hdmi port can also be used to extend display. got a hdmi to vga converter, i plug the hdmi into my pc (since other is used), and vga into my other monitor.

use the hdmi and dvi outputs from your video card and the vga output from the onboard graphics.
depending on your pc you may not be able to do this.
You may have to go into your bios and activate muiltiple monitors. (i'll add some screen shots shortly)

    alternatively, get a dvi splitter.
The dvi port can actually support two signals. just make sure you get the right cables.
Google dvi types for more info

By using a dvi splitter, and running 2 monitor via that method, will they be mirrored or can you make them into a extended display?

interesting.. but not too sure what it's main function is? Does it just allow you to have numerous screens in 1?

I haven't actually used a dvi splitter so i'm not 100% sure but it should give you an extended desktop not just mirrored.
Do you know how to get into your bios / setup when booting up? Cos cos my other suggestion should get you going with the cables you've got already. You may not even have to change any settings, it may just recognise the extra monitor on the motherboard.

Are you guys serious? Matrox stuff? This is outright expensive, you can get two video cards for the price of this gimmick.

You need a cheap graphics card with 3 to 4 outputs, like the GTX 760 or even cheaper. Most of them drive 3-4 displays these days.

A "solution" is to recommend a £250-300 piece of hardware?!?! WTF?!?!

Just grab yourself a new graphics card. I have a Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti in my machine. Probably available for pretty cheap now as it's about 3/4 generations old. However, runs my two 1080p 24" monitors from the DVI ports and my 50" 4K TV from my HDMI port. You could just buy something like this + DVI>VGA adapters if need be. Probably on of the cheaper ways to do it....compared to Matrox stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

Used one on Amazon is $124 and can easily get for less than that off eBay etc.

It was just a solution, the analog Matrox cards are not so expensive second hand..

It's better to first buy a good graphics card indeed, i run at my own also 2x Asus GTX 760

    + Matrox Dualhead2Go @ Displayport: 2x 27 Samsung @ 5120x1440 Resolution
