While I have plenty of experience recording rock music in Pro Tools, I'm a newbie to electronic music production and have limited experience with plugins. After seeing that Zedd uses 30+ plugins at a time to produce one note I've realized that I'm in need of some education/ guidance.
    :dunno:

Are there any good documentaries on electronic music producers/ production that would open my eyes :woot: to this writing process? Otherwise, is there someone in Brisbane, Australia who wants to show me the ropes? :mates:

If you guys can't help me, that's cool. I'll just watch that new Zack Effron movie "We Are Your Friends". I hear it's a 100% accurate representation of EDM production and DJing, hence the rave reviews it has received.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

DMP looks incredibly well laid out and extensive but are there any free resources? I'm legitimately broke at the moment.

He uses mostly FL Studio but a lot of things you can easily use with others DAW as well. If you are interested in EDM production, this is probably one of the best free resources.

electronic music is a pretty spacious playground. maybe first figure out what it will be, as there are really huge differences.
are you into trance? house? drum&bass? techno? bass music?
that's the first thing you have to make up your mind about.
to speak in your world's terms ;) learning how to produce folk rock is a different thing than learning how to produce punk rock.

if you figured that out you can do some educated research on youtube or audioz, there are plenty of excellent tutorials there for every variety of electronic music.
