Ooooh this is dope, ned. Some clever little glitch samples in there, neat little panning tricks & stereo delay. Got your own vibe. No complaints about the kick drum here. When I listened on my laptop speakers it didn't seem to quite fit but when I plugged in the monitoring headphones it all made sense

P.S. - I just wrote a pretty nasty verse to this on a whim. Thanks for the inspiration

My bro found me working on music and came to join the fun. As always, it took much longer than expected, but for a quick and dirty mix I like it.



Link's on private so I had to space the url because the auto-embed won't work on private tracks - I don't want to share your work publicly without your say so. Just did this one for fun - it was a great little break from the monotony of working on my own stuff all the time!

Also there's a couple minutes of silence at the end. I rendered it twice and made the mistake both times so I just said screw it for now.

well made track ... would like to hear a little more variation in the stabs,
even just varying the level in some spots... there was a sameness after a while..

kick didn't bother me either...could even be a little "fatter" for my taste...

nice funky lines overall


dope flow Cav.... the rap gives this the variation it needed, the stabs just blend right in
underneath... good collab

Thanks homie. And ditto I'll finish this off sometime between now and next weekend. I've got my own project I had scheduled for today but I got a little sidetracked when ned's beat inspired me.

@ned944 glad you like it. The last thing I'd ever want is to dishonor your hard (and very dope) work. I've credited you and linked your soundcloud in the track description. When I put the finishing touches on this I'll drop your name in the track as well. After all, the whole thing only happened because I was digging the beat.

@mewoingtons so happens I'm quite a fan of Deadmau5. And I love spitting over stuff you wouldn't think of as a rap beat. Back in the day I rapped over a looped bit of a metal song and an Explosions in the Sky track, to name a couple.

 

Feel free to post it up. I will do the same, and I may do a little work on the mix and reupload sometime in the near future. But for now I'll trim the silence at the end and put the track up for download in a few minutes

This is cool man. And the collab as well. I really like the atmosphere of the sound you make. Dr. Brown could be good soundtrack for some spy/crime movie
