As a kid I always got in trouble. My grandmother, being the typical old-fashioned, god-fearing woman she is said a few times that a demon was inside me. Every now and then she would call me Demon, although my mother hated it. I think it was more to spite her than anything else.

The name stuck, and as a coincidence, I have a love for those sort of things.

 

Good thread! Because I looooovvvvvveee piano. The sound of it touches my heart and moves me every time. It was always always a dream of mine to play, but music wasn't a major part of my life until after college. I started taking lessons two yrs ago, but sadly did not stay dedicated. I always envied everyone who plays beautifully. This time around, I'm trying to work hard at it. "Minor" because I find that minor notes or sad notes, can be the most touching. I like to sing so I listen to RnB music a lot. And I have an E before Minor because not only is it the name of a chord, but my first name starts with an E.

Mine is short for Caveat Emptor, meaning buyer beware. I got the idea from a crooked gun salesman in the video game Borderlands

So I felt it was only right to use an avatar from the same game. Good way to poke fun at my name and my passion all at once.

The funny thing is, I don't even play video games. My best friend sat me down and made me play Borderlands with him. Happy I did - that game is fckn hilarious.

'loop' in my name is obviously having to do with loop libraries...I thought the 'threat' word next to it added an urban feel to it giving it a catchy name.

 

For me, it was after watching several episodes of Doctor Who,(Silence will fall when the question is asked) then installing the 64 bit Version of Sylenth1.

When it came to joining an Audio/Music forum, it was the only logical choice.

 

So many people in your position would have given up. The way you battle through is an inspiration, certainly to me.

About 44 years ago I was a very crazy young man. I was a paratrooper. The guys in my squad just one day adorned me with this nickname. I didn't want it but once it is, well, there it is. I wanted something more like Mean MoFo or Madhouse or something that would compliment my prowess, like Fat Pipe.

The group dynamic is such that what the group says you do. Besides, it grew on me.

So, while logging onto BBS's back in the early 90's I remembered who I used to be. Seemed as good a nick as any. I've been me ever since.

By the way - I am a lot more mellow nowadays. A lot more mellow.

my surname is 'Kilpatrick'. 'Oysters Kilpatrick' is a popular dish in Australia... when i lived there everyone called me 'Oysters'. the name just stuck. not as good as most other stories!! ^^^^

and my avatar thing is just lego luke skywalker with my older brother's face when he was about 3 years old... i made that while waiting in dubai airport on the way back from Australia, no idea why.

i figured the 2 where vaguely linked so i just used them
