Cubase 8 Dongles

    Hello!

    I'm planing on buying Cubase 8 next month because I can get quite a good deal for EDU version. But I'm kinda lost with all the usb dongles. Would this ( http://www.thomann.de/de/steinberg_key.htm?ref=prod_rel_353952_1) be the right thing to buy to store my Cubase 8 liscence? I don't really want to thorow away 20€ for nothing, so I'm asking before buying anything. Thanks!

    Usually the e-licencer dongle is in the box with the CD's?

    That's the same dongle my Nexus2 came with. They are all the same, I'm pretty sure. And, If you buy Cubase as a boxed version, it comes with a dongle, so you do not need an additional one. If you buy a download version, I don't think it's included.

    I don't think EDU version comes with dongle. Should probably writte to thomann and ask them. Thanks guys!

    Cubase Edu comes with a regular dongle/e-licenser in the box. You don't need an additional one.

    i confirm! unless u buy online without box then u need to buy one dongle.

    My Cubase 6.5 EDU version came with the eLicenser dongle in the box too. Have since incrementally upgraded to Cubase Pro 8.

    Yes when you buy Cubase brand new it comes with the dongle
