This is literally the best track you have posted here. Amazing stuff man. Excellent composition, mix, engineering, textures, drums, sounds. It's all very pro. And the percussion is very crunchy. You are a pro at doing downtempo sounds :)

Well done man... you can get far with this sound :)

    EDIT:

I've noticed quite an interesting thing about your music that you need to take care of. I've had a look at some of your tracks in your soundcloud, and from what I have analyzed and deduced, your mixes are clean and your elements are crunchy, but you have only two things you need to fix:

One, is being able to control the wetness of your sound. For some reason, you mix really wet and a tiny bit too High Passed, you have to be a bit more easier on the colour, wetness and the filtering you do.

Second, is just subtle nuances within the timing of your composition. Your music has a lot of elements, and that's a good thing, but it also makes it difficult to control the timing of the arrangement. You gotta make sure the sounds are spaced out properly and take note that sometimes you need to let go of the drums or the chords and bring it back here and there. You need to make the arrangement 'tighter'

I only say this to you because you are actually reaallllly good, and can get far with the music and artwork you have, but you still need just a little tiny bit more to reach that untouchable level you are close to getting to.

Take care of these two things and you basically have the perfect track :D

I agree wholeheartedly with the response,I was super ambitious with this track, it ended up being like 120 tracks worth of samples at least, i ended up having to re sample due to memory limits :P. I do find it hard to slow down the compositional complexity of a track, i guess to some degree it is my writing style, but i concede that it becomes overbearing to the listener. I find as a producer i end up listening to the mixes/mixdowns too long and end up adding additional complexity to keep myself satisfied, or to try and add additional replayability, but i guess that comes at a cost. I guess i should take more breaks during production. Im not 100% sure about the highend but ill definitely have a more thorough look-over that for sure! I guess i overwhore the effects too much too which is definitely true. I just want to leave an audible production stamp that makes other people know that I made the track without knowing who actually made it. Again, this could probably be solved with more breaks i think. Thanks a bunch for the constructive criticism, much appreciated and will definitely be taken into consideration for future projects.

    no worries,

one really good tip is after you finish a track, wait like a week or two or even a whole month before you release it, just to see if it still sounds good to you.

I really like this track but I have to agree with tits (they're quite agreeable) and I myself suffer from this problem at times. Also am I the only one to notice that monastary is spelled incorrectly or is that intentional? The correct spelling should be monastery. Anyway, it's exciting to see you collaborate with Araxis on an album because I really enjoy his work and I think you guys are a good match. Looking forward to the EP. :dj:
