    hey guys

ive got many samples but cant come close to this kick. i would describe it as powdery, soft, fuzzy but controlled... i can of course sample it straight from the mp3 but would be curious as to if anyone would know it's origin

in the clip below it is most audible in the intro starting at 0:05

    many thanks in advance.

It's basically a 100-200Hz "knack" over a sidechain compressed bass.

One way of doing it: Try run a 20-30ms "flam-y" (as in two fast hits flam, tam tam) sound, like a clap sample (two claps or more) and bandpass it around 200Hz.
Or just steep bandpass a kick at around 150Hz. Add an additional 50Hz sine if you want some weight to it (adjust amp decay to taste). Add some stereo chorus.
Then sidechain compress the 16th-note bass to it.
