I really don't understand how to patch Omnisphere 2 on Mac osX.
Did anyone do it succesfully please?

 

I'm with you, bro. ca't get it to work. Tried changing the extension to .dll and failed. I had to take the L

 

I think that the answer is here(from Audioz):

On mac I ran the .exe patcher in crossover and patched the files inside contents/macos/omnisphere for both the vst and .component and after setting the security on those files to everyone, and patching them, the old challenge code etc from the hexwars version worked and all is fine.

EDIT: OK it works using Vmware and Windows 7!!!
You have to copy the VST and Audio unit from library/audio/plug ins/vst and component to your desktop, then to patch it from your windows, then replace the vst and component with the patched files in Mac osX and your are done if you already entered the response code...if not do it.

When I run the patcher in Wine the component files are not visible when I attempt to navigate to their location. Not sure if it has something to with hidden extensions or related? Any help greatly appreciated. I have recently switched to mac so a bit green

 

I had the same problem in Wine when I moved the files to the C:/ directory. Then I tried to locate them in the Z:/ drive, which is the Mac drive and there they were visible. Tried to patch them but got a message "write protected" , changed the permissions in "get info" and voila It worked.

 

Run the R2R Patcher using the "keygen app 2016 dada" from the sister site. Then you'll be able to see everything inside the plugins. Works great. Also move the plugins to a visible place such as your desktop so you can locate it easily prior to patching.

 

as already been said here, run Win and patch vst and component files, R2R will open plugin's files like folders and inside component/macos/omnisphere that is what you patch, but first copy vst and component files to where Wine can see it, desktop for example.

NOW RUN R2R AND PATCH THE FILE YOU GET OUT FROM THE COMPEMENT ON WINDOWS.
ITS EASY. THE EXPLORER CAN GET TO THE COMPEMENT FILE .
THAN GET THE FILE U PATCHES AND COPY IT IN THE DIRECTORY IT IS BELONG

hi, i'm exactly where you were at. what did you change the permissions to? both of those files say 'read and write only' in their 'get info' on my end, but i keep getting the 'write protected' message when trying to patch. any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

Hey guys I managed tofollow all instructions to install omnispher 2 but having troubles with the patch. Also its telling me Installion not completed properly Omnisphere patch data needs to be upgraded to version 2....if anybody can help Thank You
