Not gonna blow your mind, but if you walk up to an upright in somebody's house, this is more or less what it sounds like. Yup it just sounds like an average upright. The cooler part is that he plucked the strings with his fingers and sampled that too. It is an interesting effect. I found Beskhu's samples while cruising freesound.org and I'm having fun Kontakting them.

Got the Sanzanais now, both megs. Does anyone know what that is? It is confusing me. Kinda sounds like someone tapping on wires?
And now proudly presenting the Fagott. Which is either a bassoon, the predecessor to the bassoon or frequently burned in conservative circles by mistake? Anyone know?

Nope it is proving frustratingly difficult to find lute samples or other medieval or baroque samples that are PD or CC.
Any ideas on this line?

Haha. Actually its not that great an instrument, the samples are much too short, but I couldn't resist given the name. BTW I'm told it is just German for Bassoon.
And certainly many of my instruments a queer in the old sense of the word. I have some of the oddest instruments around. Where else can you go from a 40 stop pipe organ to a hippo harmonica...
